If you had the choice to phase permanently to the Astral World, would you?

Personally I resent the fact that we are 'locked in' to our physical bodies. As beautiful as our Earth knowing there is infinitely more out there, it's almost as if physical form is punishment. Boring mundane tasks, locked into the monetary system, at the mercy of our governments.

Insightful

If you were a non-physical being and had the chance to phase to the physical world, would you?

We might be locked in, but we have windows.

You do have the choice to phase "permanently" to the Astral... it's called "dying", or more to the point "suicide".

Monetary systems and Governments aside... you CHOSE to come here.  Don't take lightly the choice you made.
Stop looking at that which you don't have and enjoy those things you do.  :)

You're already in the astral, right now as you read this. You're just not aware of it. You've got your mind stuck in the physical.

I dont think the physical is literally a prison, if we had the right technology there would be infinite different things to explore just in the physical as well. What would be really cool, is the ability to change between whatever planes at will, without having to relax and try and leave the body everytime you want to go to the astral.

No, because when I die I'll have plenty of 'time' to be in the astral.

I am not 100% sure (yet), but I am pretty sure a person does not have to die to phase permanently into the non-physical.  This is what the kundalini awakening is all about, ascending not just the consciousness but the vibration of the physical body as well.  Rather than dropping the body (as in death) it's vibration is raised into that which is non-physical.  It is what I feel happening with me.  I feel myself DEmaterializing.  So to the question would I phase permanently into the non-physical- yes!, right now I am in the process of doing it.

As tempting as that is, it would be rather selfish to leave my family like that. I wish suicide could be thought of as simply as catching the next train.

But that's my point, until death we're going to be stuck in the physical. One could not possibly spend say a week in the astral, because the physical body has it's mundane needs.

Whose to say it was anyones choice to come here? If my mum became pregnant a month later, I wouldn't exist.

I believe we are here to learn.
And I also believe that only certain lessons and experienced can be had while in this physical reality.

But she didn't.  ;)

I can't say this with any certainty, but I know a couple of people who have raised their K, and they do not report phasing permanently into the nonp.; they report being more aware of it, it being a more 'concrete' part of their lives, but it's a staggered process with up and downs, not something permanent.
Once again, I don't know, as I don't consider myself as being K-'raised' or whatever you call it.  Active, sometimes, but not 'up there' if you know what I mean.

This seems to be the opinion of many experiencers, and it's a realization that many have come to understand.
It makes sense to me from a metaphysical sense, but of course, I can't know if this is true or not.

CFT,

Yes in my view the whole thing is a process, I made sure I said this!- my K experience is most definitely culminating in a permanent shift into the non-physical.  But by 'permanent shift' I would not mean to imply non-access to the physical.  I feel a person who achieves a full ascension (a raising of the consciousness AND body) can phase - visually - into whatever realm they wish.  I also feel those who are fully experiencing being 'in the world but not of it' to an extent are already doing this.
