I've had a similar thing happen to me. I'm not quite sure what it is except that it clearly is related to the energy body suddenly becoming extremely active. I don't know if it's an exit related phenomenon or perhaps a kundalini related episode but I've found no harm from it so far. Look at the "souls spasms" thread for a description of my experiences with this type of thing. Perhaps its the same thing.

i think its normal. i also feel like i am being electrocuted when i am relaxing into the ap. it takes a few times to relax and ride the feelings. it has something to do with your energy work. people here tell me they will become less extreme with energy center development.

Ok, i was doing an ap practice last night, using the breathing tecnique, then i got really mild vibes after a while,
THEN
all the sudden, it felt like i was getting struck by lightning all over my body at once! was that part of the viberations? also, all viberations stopped after the electric like experience. I know that i was literally jolted awake, but even though i tried to re-relax myself nothing would come.
