Well the first half hour is done. He seems like a pretty straight shooter. He appears to be a very open about his conclusions, and draws on his own experience.

The usual stuff so far.. vibrations, old hag syndrome, silver chord, projecting to the moon, etc.

He said he hates using the word "astral body," but that's what it feels like to him. He also thinks UFO abduction stories are just strikingly similar to OBEs, and has spoken about this at a number of UFO conventions.

He just said he believes there are 4 levels of consciousness. He hasn't described them yet... I wonder if they're similar to Frank's 4 Foci of consciousness model?

Second half hour, he's describing surgery experiences he's collected...

He's talking about how the Buddhists prepare their people for "separation" at death. And how we should recognize all this to be empowered....

He's talking very seriously now about "fear-based persons" and how they manifest negative entities within OBE's... UFO abductions as manifestations of cultural feelings about aliens ... On most occasions entities in OBEs are your own feelings manifesting...

Confront them with positive energy.. hates to use the word "love"

Consensus realities and non-consensus realities...

People create realities with the power of their thoughts... may take 20 years to manifest in the physical.. thoughts are power... just takes longer to manifest in the physical.

Better chance for spontaneous OBE when you're ill. Astral healing, shamans. Went to Peru and participated in their healing ceremonies.. just the norm over there...

Hmm. Really. it's just the norm for peruvians to heal each other like gods?

Third half hour... Pets have souls... everything has form of consciousness behind it or it doesn't exist.. we're so obsessed with the form in physical reality... evolution through the form is realy our purpose...

Doesn't believe in evil... war is a tool for consciousness learning.. serial killers on yesterday's show... everyone brings up Hitler as an example... He believes Hitler is in a "terrible state"

In willful OBE's, no one is successful 100 percent of the time... OBE is great, since anyone can experience it... techniques, affirmations, subconscious needs the word "now"... everyone already has these experiences... write down your dreams... affirmations make you more open.. took him 4 weeks to have his first experience

Visual techniques... walking from your bedroom to your living room... you condition yourself this way

Most people panic... that's the problem... people lack true knowledge and don't know what to expect... "people expect they float up like tinkerbell," but that's not how it happens

People float out of phase... recharging the "astral body" .. again he hates that word, but most people are familiar with it... jolting awake is a reconnection.. 98 percent of people experience this

Talks about the lack of literature about OBE's 30 years ago...  the key is self-knowledge... he doesn't need to believe in anything but knows things from experience

People in the bible... the resurrection, an astral body experience? Maybe Jesus just took his astral body and lowered his vibe rate? He's surprised people and ghosts don't do this all the time...

Quantum Mechanics is all the rage with multiple dimensions... blah blah blah...


How can new age authors get away with publishing the same books? lol

Fourth half hour... Peruvian experience... Nazca lines could be ancient OBE testing ground for shamans. This is what the modern day shamans told him. Students would leave the body and observe the lines from the sky and report on what they saw, if they got it right they passed. Other writers don't talk about this because they're "obsessed with the physical."

Nazca lines have nothing to do with aliens... the shamans laugh at that notion. The Nazca figure that looks like an alien is really an owl.

Christian and Muslim texts heavily rely upon altered states... everyone wraps knowledge in their own belief system. It distorts the truth. We have to start observing reality as it truly is. He is talking about OBEs.

Everyone's in to demon talk.. this is a huge problem. Authors need to stop talking about demons and negs. It's only scaring people and causes them to experience these. People create their own reality. Authors are obsessed with the idea that everything is "external."

He absolutely acknowledges that there is "negative energy" out there, though, in the form of people like Hitler... but it is a very rare event. There is an order to the universe, and over all we are creating our reality. Earth is slowed down training ground for souls.

If you hold motion as your last conscious thought, you'll OBE.

US, Russia, and Israel had OBE programs during cold war....

His profound experience is when he met his mother face to face... "I mean she was there, this was face to face... I could recognize her from the energy of her voice." He was a little scared and uncomfortable about whom this was, but her voice had a tone and energy to it. She took him to her life in the afterworld... in her home on a beach, creating her own reality. His mother supposedly saved him from getting in a car accident.

Fifth half hour... he's living in Asia because his wife was transferred there, she works for a car company. Shanghai is great, very modern. They like Americans and American culture (but really don't like the Japanese!) lol... He hopes the US isn't as stupid to go to war with China.. "we can't beat them" ... "Taiwan really is part of China, let's face it"

Let's go to the Phones...

Old southern lady agrees with dude... says her guide says "the Earth is like the ice, the astral is like the water, the next level is like the steam, the next level is the heat – the fire that changes the other three levels."

Girl asks... "I sort of have these OBE things all the time and I want to stop them... like 4 or 5 times a night" (jesus, she should be so lucky) "What makes somebody more prone to them?" ... dude thinks she was a monk in multiple past lives and trained herself to do this stuff. Whatever. This girl is scared out of her wits. She hears crackling sounds as she is separating, vibe shifts, she's read a lot and knows about... but she doesn't want it.. it's been going on for like 4 or 5 years... dude says her higher self is telling her something and that she should explore it, but if she does not want it, she should focus on her finger, or any other body part, to ground herself in the matter. He tells children this – children who do not want to have OBEs and find them too intense. It literally feels like you're being torn apart.

Jay from Thailand says... he's scared about the numb feeling in his arms and legs as obstruction of blood. Dude says it's just his blood slowing down.

Guy from Colorado... says his dead dog jumps on his bed during the night sometimes. Dude says people change their energy but don't die, and that he has a cat who hands around him.

George asks about religion... Dude says seeing religious figures during OBEs is totally cultural.

Final half hour... he plugs his books and training CDs and tapes, available at www.outofbody.com ...www.astralinfo.org... there's supposedly a good forum there too.

Lady from Fort Wayne... possible to have OBE with untreated sleep apnea? Dude really doesn't know, can't say for sure. It would be a detriment, certainly, because of the grounding. He suggests melatonin. (this dude is not a doctor)

Patrick... has never had an OBE but can swear he feels his bed vibrating at a certain binaural beat. Why this certain beat? Dude says people respond at different frequencies, and that that's his personal frequency and probably should continue with it.

Some guy asks... how often do you succeed in getting an OBE? 100 percent 90 percent? Dude says, personally, depending on his state and business, realistically... probably about 25% or 20% IF the visualization gets boring, then increase the complexity of the visualization... don't switch it to something new. Worst place to have an OBE is in bed, best place on a couch. He has found no correlation between what you eat and the experience.. but if you believe that you need to be a vegetarian then that's the reality you create for yourself.  Set alarm a couple hours early, get up, move to a couch, then do your technique on the couch... you probably double your chance of getting an OBE this way.

Alex, truck driver asks... fiancé died and wants to cross over and say goodbye to her, but has had a few traumatic OBEs, including getting locked up in jail. Dude gets a lot of mail from prisoners... devoted a section of his book to prisoner's experiences, has been asked to speak at prisons, "let's face it, it's escapism.

John calling from Flagstaff... has had sleep paralysis since he was a child, someone told him to have an OBE then, and he did it, but went into some kind of light speed loss of sense of self... took him a long time to get back... woke up in sweat. Dude says it's "very common," and says that the more experiences you have the calmer you will be.

He sounded very serious and enthusiastic about bringing OBE to the masses. His language was very open, if littered with ambiguous (but I guess necessary) new age terminology like "higher self." He doesn't have any new or revolutionary techniques, but supposedly he's been doing this for a long time.

I think I'll stick with my initial impression that he is a "straight shooter," at least with regards to the subject of OBE.

The interview never included any question or answer about "hard evidence," and him demonstrating his abilities. But that is to be expected from Coast to Coast AM...
