I am new to Astral Projection and so far most sources Ive read and listened to said that falling asleep is not what I want to happen. Now this is problematic as I suffer from chronic fatigue which I think is brought on from constant stress. Also sleep apnea but I have a CPAP now. I want to experience an out of body experience but my body does need sleep to regenerate. Even though I have a CPAP now I still wake up many times a night. Working on this technically but if there is any suggestions towards something more metaphysical, I am interested.
My question is this. Can I astral project and leave my body sleep?
You'll have 80% more success in the morning statistically so this is most likely the best time to try a method that suits your particular requirements.
Read the stickies at the top each section to find something that appeals.
So when I do manage to project, my will mind and body will be rested when I come back?
If your experience takes you to a correct environment you'll feel great.
Learn meditation as this can help more and its far easier to do.
If you are on CPAP it should not interfere with anything other than possibly distracting you. It's important to continue to use it as directed so that your can stay healthy.
It's best not to practice projection when going to bed at first. Trance work can be done sitting in a chair or recliner. I use a padded arm chair if I'm sleepy. The trance techniques are basically self hypnosis which can be done in any position. You can project from a sitting position as long as you can relax enough to focus off your body. Phasing occurs in degrees it's not a here or there type of thing and you may go from one end of the spectrum full body awareness gradually to 0 body awareness. This is how I do it and I'm not to the end of the spectrum yet. I may revise what I say when I fully am able to zero out physical awareness and bring in superconscious awareness to the experience.
All non physical experience that you have are " real " and legetimate. All dreams are non physical experiences, most have 0 body awareness.
I'm going through the self hypnosis material now.I went to a workshop and found out when I attended a group hypnosis session that the trance is identical to the one I use for channeling and phasing. There are some posted hypnosis tapes on lucid dreaming on utube but I have not checked those out yet. I would be cautious and go over the transcript of the session and research to make sure it's going to be effective. Before using it. I don't think it could harm you but it might lead to frustration if it's poorly prepared.
