Granted he was a dangerous man, but I think what they did might even be more dangerous...

Yes, I am curious to see how the police are going to explain why the house was on fire.

Maybe the official reports the police gave are true, but it also seems plausible that they didn't want this man giving public testimony of things he may have seen.

I guess we will never know now.

I know he did some horrible things including murder but the cops are supposed to be above murder. And murder is what this recording certainly implies.

Its at about 1 min. and 5 sec. on that you tube video .  I had to use my head phones , on my speakers it was too garbled .  " were going to go foward with the plan , the    burrner " . He was a bad guy , they did not want him to get away .  desert rat

I understand that. But guilty or not everybody deserves a day in court. Even if they don't want it. This just seems like revenge to me.

I always wondered what it takes to make a normal human being to snap like he did. Not that I'm trying to say that he was ever normal but he fooled the military and the police if he wasn't.

Ever since the West Memphis 3 case, I have viewed the law in a much different light.

They state that one shot was fired . When he saw the fire he probably chose to kill him self instead of surerending . It would be my guess that the police did not want him to be able to escape in the dark . I live in Arizona , there was some thought he had headed hear .  desert rat

The problem is that cops are only human, and humans generally aren't above anything.
ANY human is capable of doing anything... sadly.

I saw something on the news... All I understood was the word America (since it was in Chinese), but I saw a cabin on fire and a bunch of police. Perhaps this was it. o_o

I dont know what info you have so I will post a short summery .  Dorner was a police man for the    Los Angles CA.USA     p.d. , he was fired , he went on a killing spree , killing 4 people before the cabin he was holed up in was set on fire and he killed him self  . While on run he stoled , and wrecked a car and p.u. , and a few other things .       On burning down the cabin , yes it is in    a bunch of old westerns ( movies about the western   USA between 1865-1900 apx. )   desert rat      .
p.s. A post started by me on another forum , the third post has a transscript of the police radios http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=466592        (adult lang. is used on that forum)

I wouldn't doubt this... From my opinion I don't think this is fake. This sounds like 100% scanner to me. I listen to my cop friends on my scanner all the time. I also listen to the local fire dept etc. The lingo is spot on.

I tried to avoid this whole story but everywhere I went it was on the news. When I was in the ER they showed the actual shooting live on one of the big screens and there were 8 year old kids watching. 0_0

If any one does not know a scanner is a type of radio .  This probly was recorded by some one using a scanner , that was fallowing  the man hunt for Dorner .  People go to nas car races with scanners programed with the freq. of there fav. driver . There are many web sites with scanner freq.s for nas car teams , police , fire , weather , ect.  http://www.angelfire.com/wi/scanner/frequency.html  Any freq. above 30 mhz can only be revived with in 60 miles ( the earth is curved ) from  the source .            desert rat

I actually got a scanner app on my phone. =0

The last time I was at the police dept the dispatcher tested to see if it worked. So I turned on my scanner and she said "dispatch testing..." ABout 40 seconds later I heard her on my phone. There's about a 40 second delay compared to a scanner itself but it works. Anybody can get it. I think that it may be illegal in some states but I checked to see in Colorado and they don't mind. Whenever there is a SWAT situation going on they usually block the scanner from all frequencies or something...

It's dead accurate though because I will hear a medical call go off by a certain fire station and I will drive by it... Sure enough there they go with their lights and sirens. I have avoided getting stuck in bad traffic using it.xD

I am surprised they aren't illegal though because they will give out addresses and patient information which can maybe be a privacy issue. I have heard full names go off on my scanner app and what they were being charged for... Where they were... etc.

In fact if you got to radio reference.com you can access almost every police/fire/ems scanner live in the USA.

On uhf/vhf scanners .  I have some of the programable scanners , I have a 8 ch. crystal one some where .  There are F.C.C. ( USA) laws making it a crime to use info gotten from a scanner .  Cell phone freq.s are blocked ( 800 - 900 Mhz ) on scanners .Some wireless land line phones  can be heard on a scanner .        Many years ago a person writing for a scanner mag. ( maby pop com ) had the freq. programmed in his scanner for the security police in a Las Vegas casino/hotel They would not let him the building with his scanner .  The wire less head sets can be heard on a scanner at fast food reasturants , if you get off hearing " do you want fries with that order ?"  One of many scanner sites .  http://www.bearcatwarehouse.com/?gclid=CL_t2M-LvrUCFQ4GnQod3GYAVw  and ebay has some .     desert rat

Older tv's with the turn dials can pick the police up as well but it really helps to be next to a tower to boost the strength.

I dont think a old t.v. would work .  The t.v. audio is wide band f.m. ( old n.t.s.b. standard)  police radios use narrow band f.m. they use freq.s in the 460 Mhz and 800 Mhz ranges .  desert rat
