Celebrating here with you because most other socials keep censoring my #HappyNews :)

For those of you who win awards on the regular, it might not matter. For people like me who almost never do, it's a huge deal.

I won third prize in a Welsh-language #writing contest! My bit starts around the 6 min mark.

Am still trying to take it all in. The only other time I won an award for my work beside the 1983 summer camp talent show, was in 2021.

In other words, I feel like there was a rift in the space-time continuum.

Congratulations Jen,  :-)
It looked like a nice event too. I don't understand the language but I can see by the body language how nice and gentle everyone is being with one another.

Way to break the continuum

Congratulations Jen - what a wonderful achievement! The Welsh language - Celtic in general - is definitely not easy to learn. When British go to Wales, myself included, we usually can't even pronounce the place names, particularly - "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch"

Never mind the unsocial media groups, I, and I am sure everyone here, always enjoy hearing of your achievements.

Ah, Adrian! That is the first Welsh word I learned! Surely you jest? /s

Seriously though, I made the pilgrimage to that small village on Môn to see the place name which inspired me to start learning the language of Heaven, after crossing the Menai bridge, to celebrate something that literally kept me away from the ledge.

After dedicating it to the guy from the viral video, he surprisingly left me a comment, a very lovely supportive one.

The Cymry (Welsh people) are some of the kindest, most compassionate, chill people on the planet.
