Hello and thanks for reading!

I am new to astral projection and never have traveled, so I just wondering someone could clarify some questions =S

What do you do to let go of your body, now I know this very simple but I what i am asking for is like , for example your body is all relaxed, do you need to force ( in your mind) to let go or do you just automatically start floating above?

So i have been trying to make myself relax so I could travel, and I have been getting this weird feeling around my naval area, first it used be around my naval and now its a little above the previous area and now it feels like a stone? So basically it feels heavy? I was wondering if someone could tell me what it is

Some people said that while I am lying down I should look at myself from a 3rd point of view or I should imagine myself in bright white light, when i do this I start to shark and get this weird feeling, Why do i start shaking?

Thanks for reading my post and hopefully I can understand these a bit more!

There are many ways to have an out of body experence . There are books with methods , this forum has a free pdf , http://obe4u.com/  does also , there are a bunch of self hypnosis cds , dvds, mp3s , on the net and in new age book stores . There are a whole bunch of videos on you tube . p.s. when you draw the light through your chakras http://www.aznewage.com/chakras.htm   you will feel it

You can't force anything to happen.
You've got to just allow yourself to 'let go'.

Pickup an orange... now think about letting it go.  THINK as hard as you can, try to force that orange to leave your hand.
It's not until you actually just "let go" of the orange, that it the leaves your hand.  This is the action you need to master and it revolves entirely around Intent.  Thinking something isn't an Intent... Intent is the action behind what occurs.

Random energy sensations.  Focus on them... see what happens.
Everyone will get something different and it'll feel different too.

It's a good sign.  It means to keep doing what you're doing.
Those are the supposed vibrations.  Just keep doing the same thing you're doing and ignore the vibrations best you can.
They're not going to hurt you.  :)

Desert_Rat - Thanks for the links! I will check them out, I am also pretty sure we will have some books of astral but mainly Yoga i guess. It was from one of the books it suggest to look at myself from a 3rd point, so for example if I am digging a ditch, I will look at the dig being ditch not I am digging the ditch. So it said to look as an uninterested person.

Xanth - Thanks for the answers ,it helped me. Now the weird feeling in my stomach, I focused on it last night and it kept getting heavier, it literlly got so heavy that it was hard for me to breathe, is this what its suppose to happen?

Yup, that's very normal.
What you're experiencing is you becoming more and more aware of your physical body becoming relaxed and falling asleep.  :)

Just push on through... you're actually breathing just fine.  :)
Trust your body to know how to keep you alive.
