DREAMINGwithEYESwideOPEN

So for the past year I have been using a pretty heavy drug, probably what most would say is the worst one you could do, and while high I experience all the same symptoms described when you become "enlightened" or your third eye "awakens". This isn't the first or only time in my life I've experienced these, infact I've experienced them my entire life. But I only just recently discovered all this information and made sense of it all. But since the drug use, it seems as if the symptoms are now, I guess, permanently "turned on". Even after not having used in 5 days (my using cycle is typically a 4 day binger followed by 4 or 5 days off). I've also noticed that since I am now aware of my spiritual journey and am actively and naturally doing things to progress it, my cravings for the drug have significantly subsided and my come-down phase, which was once the lowest I could possibly be mentally, is now non-existant.
So my question is this, If we had the power to not over due drugs and let them control our lives, could they possibly be a good tool?
I am in absolutely no way advocating drug use by the way, because unfortunately most of us do not have the power to control them instead of the opposite way around. I'm just wondering that if I were to quit the drugs now and never look back (because I honestly havent experienced any of the negative effects of drugs...yet) would it be safe to say that it aided me in my enlightenment process?

Well I guess its your choice really. I am on xanax because I been on anxiety medication my whole life. My poor brain doesn't know what its like to be off medication. No more ssris so I'm super proud of that. Just xanax... Makes me a little sleepy. Its a very low dose now too. Benzodiazepine withdrawal is hell I just assume be on it. It relaxes me on top of meditation and can still have obes. Idk what drug you are reffering to. I'll never use them though. A lot of drugs can cloud your aura.

Edit: I totally re read that part of using one of the most dangerous ones. I wouldn't recommend it... If you practice this stuff without using drugs that's when you are REALLY going to make headway!

If this were the standard, then there'd be no problems associated with their use.  But the truth is that humans do them for a variety of reasons, and they are what cause the drug problem in the first place.
I know that my stance is not popular, but, we're not qualified to tell you what to take and what not to take, and to say that a drug causes 'enligtenment' is the same as saying that we are programmable robots only.

It really depends on the substance. They are not all the same. You wouldn't compare Tylenol to Prozac, or coffee to methamphetamines, so there really isn't a responsible way to make a blanket statement about all "drugs". A few have their uses, and some should never be touched by anyone.

I am assuming you are talking about heroin or something similar (you don't have to say which), to which I would reply with most of the drugs of that class, there is simply no safe way to experiment with them. Just as you would be hard-pressed to find a doctor to tell you the safe level of cyanide you can drink, I don't think any responsible person would recommend any dose of those drugs for any reason. You wouldn't use a flame thrower to light a birthday candle, and I am afraid that is what you are doing when you are trying to derive benefits from something of that addictive and toxicological severity.

I give a kind of standard statement on the     use of drugs . Know what you are doing . They can hurt or kill you . On the other hand you can eat a lot of the wrong kind of food and die from a hart attack .  I dont think you could ever trust any exp. while using drugs . Other than caffine( tea , soda pop)     and beer there not for me.
