I've read it, and I think it's a great book, but I think it applies more to idea.  I don't think any of it actually happened.

Yeah, ive read it. I thought it was really awesome. I know its  only fictional, but so many of the insights are true to life it unreal. I read it before i knew anything about obe/ap's, and when i started reading around the subject(obes/self-awareness/conciousness), i was like wow, its the real life Celestine Prophecy, and it helped me understand things a bit clearer.
I haven't read the 10th insight though!!

I've read celestine prophecy, 10th insight, search for shambhala and the one that describes the first 2.  The thing I especially like about the celestine prophecies is the control dramas.  It really struck some chords for me.
Empty-handed I go, and behold the spade is in my hands;

I walk on foot, and yet on the back of an ox I am riding;

When I pass over the bridge,
Lo, the water floweth not, but the bridge doth flow.

I read Celestine Prophesy a few years ago, and was really inspired.  It is not supposed to be a "true" story, but is a parable (ie teaching through the means of a story), as explained in the introduction.  I have yet to read the other books but they are ones I intend to read in the near future.

An interesting fact you might be interested in is about the co-incidences/synchronicity part of it:

After I'd read it the first time I lent it to someone & never got it back:(

Thinking about it again recently, I was drawn to look for books in a charity (thrift?) shop.  After finding nothing on the bookshelves, I thought for a moment my instincts were wrong, then I noticed a big basket full of books with a sign saying "3 books for 50p" - this is around 1 euro or half a cent!  I got 3 GREAT books - Celestine Prophesy, The Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman (similar in a sense to Celestine), and The Giant Book of the Supernatural (wasn't 100% sure on this one at first but has loads of good stuff in in from what I've glanced through so far).  Synchronicity at play here!

The control drama thing was something I'd forgotten about, and it's something I'm working on a lot at the moment (am reading The Power of Now), so another case of synchronicity here.

hmm, maybe I'd better put an order in for the other books in the series right now!

Oh - and after reading Celestine around 5 years ago, I became able to see auras (generally etheric glow, only had colours a few times) and had a really awesome experience where I once saw the energy all around me.  Truly an excellent book.

Finally, I have read that some of the people in this forum (read the invisibility posts) are experiencing times where people are bumping into them, not seeing them (some of these people are not doing it deliberately, it is happening to them for no reason they can explain).  It occurs to me that what is happening is that they are raising their vibrations to the extent that they are no longer visible to those of lower vibrations, as explained in Celestine and Way of the Peaceful Warrior.  Anyone else have any thoughts on this?

I have read the Celestine Prophecy,The Tenth Insight,And the Secret of Shambala,and the Celestine Vision.
The first three books passed more as an excitement I had for reading.But,the Celestine Vision was awesome. It is more like a practical guide to the Celestine Prophecy.As I read each indidvidual chapters,events happened as if to affirm the ideas in the book.I still remain carefully open minded.
Seven, do you know how I got to this article?
I was reading Cube's article,and saw your osts in their. A thought went off in my mind that I might actually know you and the number seven is something that always has a light(my birthday is agaust27).So I checked your profile to see if I might actually have any lead in my thoughts,I didn't.But this pointed me out to a list of topics by you which included this one.I was amazed that it led me to this article.I was also amazed to see that we have the exact same firt name,expect mine doesn't have an 'i'.
This books are a great source of information and have helped me to get past some very deep inner troubles.
 I will be glad to contribute to this article!

I was just wondering whether any had read the Book
"The Celestine Prophecy"

I haven't read the "tenth" insight, but it's all about NDE and OBE as far as I can gather...
so is humankind basically supposed to practice OBE?

I think the 9 insights make a lot of sense to me, what does everyone else think?
