For a long time I thought these two minds where the same thing until yesterday.
What I found out is the Unconscious mind is the same mind you have every lifetime and it records all of your experiences.
The subconscious mind you get a new one each life time and it also records all of your experiences.
So what do you think?
i think its just that your subconcious mind has more of your "higher self" in it (awareness-wise)
and your concious, still having some awareness of that higher-self, not as much maybe
but apperantly you only have 1 9th of your spirit in these body's, sub concious and concious?
correct me if im wrong, i think i got it a bit accurate there though
"Subconscious" was coined by Freud, and naturally refers more to repressed things we jam down into our heads, the neurosis, parent-"loving" side that he concentrated so much on, etc. "Unconscious" is a Jungian term, and is more referring to the repository of general unconscious and collective unconscious imagery that is stored like a repository in us.
But the terms are often confused in popular language, and I am not sure how much we can honestly differentiate. So perhaps its moot.

I think the subconscious mind and the "third eye" are closely related
with meditation it is usually pretty easy to use your subconscious mind to recall lost memories, plans you have made, peoples names or #'s that you may of forgotten. I personally don't think people don't forget anything it's just that they don't know how to remember it.
ex: Red wire, Blue Wire, RED WIRE, BLUE WIRE
*enters deep meditation*
I remember now, I do not need to cut any wires in the computer
must press ctrl+alt+?
*subconscious get over here*
me:how do I turn off the computer?
subconscious"click on run and then regedit
me:and then?
subconscious: oh... um... just er... delete everything in regedit and it should uh... turn off!
and the computer turned off and me and my subconscious lived happily ever after
get my point? I forgot it already
I always thought unconscious met being knocked out cold and that subconscious is the dark sewers within our minds.
But this was a fourth grade definition, so... Maybe there was a mix up.
