IRC or other realtime chat?

Is there any IRC or other realtime chat where members of this forum can be found?
Or you all chat astrally ....

AstralPulse no longer sponsers a Java link to an IRC chatrrom, but the IRC chatroom still exists.  The server is irc.webmaster.com (from memory) and the channel is #astralchat.

Now if you want out of the kiddie pool and into the deep water, go to www.lightworker.com, and click on the family chat link.  Don't let the name fool you, it's realtime chat with audio/video.  Oh, not much AP/OBE, mostly channelings, readings, and a lot of higher planes work.

I think it's a bit stupid that there are no IRC based Astral Pulse chats, or a JAVA chat. That could be fun, there's nothing wrong with BBS (Forums) but a Astral Pulse chat? Yeah I belive that would be alot more effictive.

On chat you can get ansvers instantly, make conversations and so on..
On forum you can access information from a long period of time, not just a conversation...
Usually you dont like to write long txt's in IRC, but in forum you can provide full information for some kind of topic
(thats my opinion)

I can't figure out how to get to the astral channel on irc... it's possible that macs can't do it, I suppose... I got to the site and couldn't find a way to load the channel.  Tips?

What irc client do you use?
When you are connected to server type:
/join #astralchat

But the irc server is there. Rastus is in there.
For those who don't know you need  a client firstly
www.mirc.com is the main client of choice for the IRC protocol.

All you do is install mirc, run it, you'll get a blank window inside it that opens. At the bottom you can type into it.
Just type in "/server -m irc.webmaster.com"
Followed by "/join #astralchat"

You may also wish to go to the commands drop down menu, 4th command from the bottom->change nick. OR File Menu, Select Server, in the very first page you have the nickname and alternate nick boxes. Fill them in too .

I'm on IRC a lot on several other networks so if people decide after all it would be nice to have realtime chat I would be happy to help folks sort this out via yahoo or msn messenger. I have both running all the time (invisibly on yahoo) and will reply if I'm at the pc. karnautrahl@yahoo.com and karnautrahl@hotmail.com.

I for one would really value a popular live chat room for this forum-iRC is certainly one workable way to do it once any beginner's in IRC get it worked out .  It's a crying shame there isn't a Java link to it anymore as for relative newbies it's dead easy and for others just convenient. Maybe just maybe someone might want to do this sometime-with 7000+members .

I just set up there PjIRC Java IRC client, so you just have to enter nick and your'e connected, i think very easy, if someone is willing to customize skin, or do some other enchacements i can give ftp password
