The Movie "the Ring"

you should be, nay, with all the gruesome stuff they show.

and the scariest thing is that the actors actually said that during parts of the filming they got the sense that something was lurking, waiting for them to go off alone. it freaked them out.

and apparently, one of the shots in the actual movie was done when one of the actors was getting that feeling, and during the shooting the feeling intensified to the point where the guy nearly fainted after the camera stopped recording.

Ok...just watched, not that scary, but a movie that makes you say...Hmmmmmmm.  I actually missed the last 5min (have my daughter to thank for that) So, can someone tell me what the lady meant by saying what did she do different that the guy didn't? And why in the world was she making her son watch it again?

"The Evil Dead" Movie, is one that freaked me out!! But then again it has been years since I saw that one.  May not scare me anymore.

if you haven't seen "The Others" it is a really good one.....i loved the Ring (and the extra hour or so after the actual movie too)

Evil Dead and its sequals are fun movies too.....but not for those who dislike messy movie sets....

Oh my God, such horrible taste in movies! The Ring could have been a lot better. The minutes you missed were important to understand the movie. If you're interested, just watch the end again. and the kid turned on the movie himself, willingly.

She made a copy.. thats what she did different.  So thats why he was watching it again.. making a copy.

Darkness Falls was such a terrible rip off of the ring.  I thought it was horrible.. I just rented it the other day.  

Just thought I'd mention that in case someone is thinking of renting that horrible thing.

Oh.. i realized that maybe you didnt even see that far.

they weren't really supposed to help her.. she was an evil little girl.  And her ex boyfriend died anyway.. sooo.. she had to figure out what she did differently (why she didnt die).  It was the copy thing.

Kinda a bad ending.. i was happier with the way it ended first.. or how you thought it was gonna end.

Ok, could someone tell me why was the tape made in the first place? Who made it(mother?) and why did it kill anyone who watched it?

I think they couldn't come up with logical answers to all questions..well it's just a movie, so why bother.

If you think Darkness Falls sucked then you should check out THEY ...  this is one of the worst movies ever created.

That's what i thought as soon as the movie ended. They give no explenation as to how the tape was there in the first place. I brought this point up with my dad and all he had to say was "it came from beyond". Yeah, i'd accept that, but they didn't explain it in the movie, which was one of it's flaws for me.
Overall i don't think the movie was that great. I'll admit, knowing what was going to happen to the father (of the good kid), i was a bit scared of them showing him [] but other than that it was just ok.
