The "NOW" versus visiting the higher self @ OBE

Hi there,

Has anyone ever made a connection between the "now" (Eckhart Tolle) and the experiences
when you visit your higher self? If we believe what Eckhart tells us, we are already the higher self,
we just forgot about it (also here on earth in our physical form).

Why i am telling you this is, because i experienced the "now" for a few seconds. I never visited
my higher self in an OBE, but from all experiences ive been reading so far, it seems to be very similar.

I think going out of body and connect to your higher self is the same, as shutting up the mind and
reconnect this way to your higher self in the physical form. If we bring this to our daily life, OBE“s
might lose their fascination because we have heaven on earth.

I've done the 'now' experience, but have never visited my higher self in OBE.  Not sure if they're different experiences, because in my worldview the Higher Self is the conglomeration of all your selves, so that 'tuning' with the HS is not a fragmented projection, but a state of being.
But of course I could be wrong.

yup. Whats fascinating about this is, is the fact that theres no more reincarnation the way we think of.
If we put down our imagined personality (which is anyway only thoughts), and focuse on the now, we
get aware of all what we are and therefore, if you chose to reincarnate in that state, you dont take on a
new personality because you left the "form" already as what you are.

I hope i did explain my idea understandable :)

i didnt quite get what you were saying. "if you chose to reincarnate in that state" .. especially this sentence needs explanation.

i'm infinitely fascinated with this now-experience. just like you mentioned it, it seems to be connected to the realization of one's true nature. in other words this would mean: enlightenment. you make it sound like you already fully realized nature, especially cause you're talkin about reincarnation :) ... actually i think i've been at a similar point. i had some kind of awakening during a now-experience and seriously considered to be enlightened and my mind started to go wild with this :) .. it took some time to clearly look through this and see how stubborn i actually was. so be warned ;) ...

i'd love to hear more about your experiences. you said you "focus on the now". if i do that now, it also gives me a slight experience like this, but mostly it's more a state that will come to me if i totally relax my mind, just allow every feeling and every action arising. then it's like my most personal and intimate truth comes through unfiltered.

and this is AMAZING WITH MEETING WOMEN :D .. you are so grounded and acting unhinderedly through your own will ... pure manliness... brrrrrrr ...

When I'm in the "now", my own conscious barriers begin to break down and my consciousness becomes less and less separate from the consciousness of the world around me. Eventually the barriers fall and the experience of "everything is consciousness" arises. This includes the dissipation of time, which is why it's the "now". It's infinite in itself. You have no choice but to drop your ego for a moment and view your physical life in a much different way. At least that's my experience of "now".
