The post i recently made was about the possibility of a demonic war happening in 2009 or 2012.  I figured that it would be better to be prepared in case it did happen.  So i started working on a group to prepare for it.  The last time I made a post about this i was ridiculed by certain people.  I only want serious posts, no  jokes, no sarcasm, please only serious posts.  I'm asking if anyone would like to consider joining my group.  If you just want to ask about it,I'll be select with my information.  If you want more details,just post the question that you want to ask, and I will answer.

The group is a real group.  I have met with each member of the group personally.  We prepare by making ourselves stronger. Both physically and mentally.

Despite what your told by the the typical brainwashing forced upon most chritians by their ministers, we pagan / wiccans are all about peaceful and beneficial spiritual growth and studies, not fighting some mythical war that is supposed to be coming some time in the future.

There have been many groups like this started in the last 50 years or so. I wouldn't attribute their ideas or desires to any particular belief.

I'd say the word "cult" comes much closer here.

Really?... I'd be more inclined to say an "after-school club".

I doubt you'd have much luck finding people in travelling distance of each other on a forum such as this, so yeah, having online stuff is the only way i'd see it working if you wanted a large "clan".

NO more ridicule.  Were not a cult, were not an after school club.  As of right now were a group of friends who share one common belief.  We get together and hang out just like regular people.  We hang out and have parties, fun, go to the movies, play cards, and fight negative astral entities.  Call us what you want, but if you want to ridicule us then you might as well take a long look in the mirror and realize your just like the rest of the sheep.  One thing I cant believe is as soon as I make a post about my group at an open-minded website.  I get doubted and ridiculed the same way I would be if I were talking to a bunch of skeptics.  I mean think about it.  that's basically what some of you are doing.  I'm only asking for new members to join if they wish.  If you don't want to be in it, then don't bother wasting my time with your senseless rambling.

One thing I can't believe is how soon after someone says something that's not in complete agreement with your ideas that they are accused of ridiculing you!

Spend a bit of time browsing the web, or maybey go to a "mind body & spirit" expo, and have a really good look at just how many CULTS there are out there talking the exact same talk you are, and trying to recruit people to their questionable causes.

This web-site is open minded to the study and discussions of esoteric / spiritual matters, but its one that's heard just about enough of this "we must prepare for war - join me" talk.

Ok GothicDragonX, let me put it to you as ridicule and scepticism free as I can:

i really think that you're reading way too much into this, james.  this guy just seems like he's trying to start a group of like minded people that have similar interests.  i don't smell a cult- i smell a disenfranchised 20 something(?) who's trying to find meaning in the  perceived meaningless society that he belongs to. (this is evidenced by the fact that these people still participate in the society they belong to (go to movies etc.), but do other things that are not perceived as "status quo" ie. fighting negative entities)  if this person were to suggest an extreme action such as moving into the woods i'd smell more cult.

i see this all the time where i live when teenagers with a good heart get involved in the occult.  they want to use their powers to fight some perceived entity (in this case, astral entities).

i see no harm in it as long as no one gets hurt- so put your big stick down.

This subject has already been well and truly thrashed out before, and it is not a place this forum is interested in going again. There's too much negativity surrounding it, and that negativity can be felt and is offputting to members who are sensitive to such energies.

I stand by my position that this forum will not be used as a recruiting ground for cult activity.

I'm sorry if that particular term offends you or anybody here, but by it's definition, that is what this kind of activity is, no matter how harmless you may think it might be.

Whatever your feelings towards the subject are, this type of activity is not what this forum is here for, and it will stop.

This forum was designed to discuss and study PEACEFUL esoteric or spiritual growth subjects NOT mythical "demon wars". If this is where your interests lie, I suggest you find another forum that is prepaired to host discussions about this subject, and carry the burden of the negative energies that surround it.

everything you say about this person and this situation i mostly agree with.  i was rolling my eyes along with everyone else when i read the post.  maybe it's because i live in new england (read lovecraft) and am accustomed to the self described demon/negative whatever fighter proto cults that pop up every other day in the local area.  maybe i've been desensitized to it all and brush it off.. i hope that i'm not too far gone.

understand that i want this trash off of the web site too.

James one thing I don't get is that you say that this website was created to study spiritual growth and energy development.  Well first off this is a study of energy, even if it is recruiting.  You make it like I'm forcing people to join.  Well I'm not!  I'm not trying ot be mean, but look I've made a post about  this before and you locked it down.  It's an outrage to see you act like this.  I don't come in a subject like astral projection and sit there and say its a load of crap, I don't say its a waste of time.  Look at you, you come in here and bust down on me just because I'm searching for some people who share my beliefs.  This is the part you deserve,  instead of bashing on my beliefs, maybe you should take some time to think about how it feels to have someone come in and say alot of crap about your beliefs.  Did you ever think about that,  your a moderator,  you should know a thing or two. One of the main problems with this website is not the people who post, but the people who are at high levels such as moderator who think there opinion means everything and will go an post a bunch of crap just because they don't like what the other person is doing.  Everyone has there beliefs, respect that,  I respect that you have beliefs. Read GothicDragon's last post and tell me what kind of feeling you get from it. Emotions produce an energy. Even on something as seemingly impersonal or disconnected as a web site, there is still emotional energy put into the posts, and the words can carry the energy of the person posting it. This site has carried a lot of negative energy because of the negative emotions put into a lot of the posts - pride, ego, anger, upset, outrage.

There seems to be certain subjects that bring out more of these kind of negative energies than others. This subject, as has been shown in the past, is one of them.

I do see you're point. I don't want to blow this out of proportion and start charging at windmills, and I can see how my first post probably came off a bit agressive.
What I do want to do is stop a situation that's arisen before and did become something of a monster.

You will not use this forum to recruit, form alliances, gather members, whatever you want to call it, for your personal cause, whatever that cause is.

Evangelism in any form will not be tolerated here, be it forming armies to fight against a demon war, or trying to get people to attend churches.

By energies, are you meaning the "tone" in which something is written. I think your on to something here cuase when something bad happens and someone speaks in a loving tone it makes you feel better.

There is definitely an emotional element, yes, the tone of someones comments - as you say a loving tone will make you feel better.

Consider also that the emotions you put into your comments can become like energies that flow from one person to another.

Think about web sites that you've visited, or even a book that you've read where the comments are all critical or harsh. Even if your interested in the subject, you don't want to read it because it can have a bad "feeling" to it. Instead you look to a web site or book that has a more positive tone. It's more likely to draw you in and keep you wanting to read on.

These are subtle energies, but when there are many combined on a site like this, can have quite a profound effect on people.

its sounds good but do you have to be skilled in anything? adn well the funny thing is that where you said "and fight negative astral entities." it sort of sound like some sort of cartoon can i get a PM explaining everything so then i can have a copy and dont have to come back here everyday to remember?
