Title: the spirit guides
Post by: Sunn on November 17, 2006, 15:29:31
I was reading up on it on wikipedia and this sentence i thought was interesting.

QuoteThe Gnostic religious view of a spirit guide is that on the other side you and your guide planned your life on earth before you incarnated.

What do you think? Discuss

Quite honestly, I would have to disagree with that. I mean if you knew what your life was going to be like, why would you need to incarnate? If you planned your physical life out then you would already know what you were supposed to learn because of the planning so you would have nothing to learn while you were here. It'd make since if it were like planning a vacation but still why not just go to a higher plane if you could instead of back to a lower plane for a change? It just doesn't make that much since to me.

I believe a basic outline of what lessons I'm to learn this time around was thunk out before coming here. :-D

I was looking at a Sylvia Browne book today, and she said something about people planning their lives out before they began their lives. I don't know whether that's accurate or not, though.

Wether it is "accurate" or not depends on what you believe.  IMO, when we leave this physical plane.. we will find whatever we think we will find.  So...it's accurate in my belief system. :)

That makes sense. In the Conversations With God books, God says that when you die, you create your own reality. It's kind of like the astral, where the power of thought works much faster.
