Title: The tears behind Religion
Post by: Spirit_k9 on September 28, 2003, 15:58:02
I didn't see the original thread where it was (or wasn't) posted in the religion forums, but I recognize the methodology behind the topic.....I've seen this sort of topic in support of the united nations charters before, and they have always done nothing but generate rantings and hateful messages from all colors of the spectrum. If the moderators deleted it, they are on the ball.

Supporters of the mandates of the united nations keep trying to start these discussions to garner support for the charters they try to force on the worlds countries as a method of gaining footholds of control in those countries.  They have been doing this publicly in the 'net for as long as the internet has existed, and in the last 5 years or so have shamelessly used children to attempt to further their cause and garner support from those with weak minds but caring hearts.

This doesn't have anything to do with the Astral Pulse, astral projection, or even spiritual development or the betterment of mankind. I'd be happy to see this prosyletization deleted completely every time it comes up.

Hello Spirit
Interesting comments thanks for your input.
I put this topic up for viewing, it is like any other in astral chat.
I had feeling this might happen but you have confirmed it by your reply.
Thanks again

I feel it should be public knowledge open for viewing and comment not hinden in preference of pretty words only. This is the reality behind many religions. Read the links watch the movie open your eyes and heart to thoughs that suffer because of religion. Being aware of both sides to religion can't be wrong IMO.
Thank you for reading this post just by knowing about it you are helping.

It turns out it was Robert Bruce who accidentally deleted the topic in question, and he has since apologised for it in the same forum.

The modern religions forum now has sticky topics for moderated topics which are designed for information and facts, and unmoderated where any other on topic post can go, including yours.

I would like to make it absolutely and completely clear that it is not the policy of Astral Pulse to censor any topic. All we ask is that it is on-topic for the forum in question and is within the rules for acceptable posting; no profanity or provocation, and respect for all other members at all times. I can say here and now that I would never sanction the deletion of a topic on the basis that I or someone else did not agree with it.

I hope that clarifies things.

With best regards,

Adrian.

First and foremost I do not hate religion or thoughs that have a faith they adhere to. A thread in the religous forums was deleted for the information I'm about to post, it is not intended to cause  anger or debate but should none the less be made aware of as people read the pretty words religion comes up with, I think people should also see the tears behind all the prettiness.
I watched a movie not knowing it's theme it was called Maya

MOVIE - DRAMA - MAYA
This powerful coming of age story finds 12-year-old Maya enjoying a playful and mischievous relationship with her "partner in crime" cousin Sanjay, until the day she first menstruates and is then subject to a much anticipated "prayer ceremony", which actually involves a ritual, brutal rape by the local priest and his assistants. Director Dingvijay Singh maintains that 5,000 to 15,000 girls are still subject to this outlawed practice, which persists under a veil of religious sanction and secrecy. Stars Anant Nag, Mita Vasisht and Nitya Shetty. (From India, in Hindi, English subtitles). (2001) MA (V,S,L) (Rpt) WS

I was shocked by the movie and yes I do feel anger towards thoughts whom I see using religion to justify their lust or to cause harm to others in the name of religion.
After reading the Hunduism thread now deleted I saw many praising the nice words I felt people should see the other side of this and I guess most religions so I posted this link
