Duality = the seperation of things.

Like "Me" and "Them"       "Good" and "Bad"

Non-Duality= the realization that we're all one.

Like in the matrix.. "Dont try to bend the spoon, realize the truth"

'What truth?'

"There is no spoon."

YOU ARE THE SPOON.

I believe that there is nothing in this universe that doesn't have an opposite, ying and yang, black and white

however the only one that evades such opposites is Nothingness, nothingness cannot exist by its own nature, its impossible to describe a state in human terms that we could interpret as nothingness,

because everything must be described by its opposite Ie nothingness versus something, there is always a portion of the opposite contained within itself,

so in every lie there is truth and in every truth there is a lie

duality leads to trinity, which leads back to oneness,

I think them most influential subject considered by the dualists is Mind BODY duality, and matter-spirit

there is no seperation!
opinions are like kittens, just give 'em away

It's good that medicine is starting to come back from its dualist viewpoint of humanity. In most areas, you can now go see any number of acupunturists, naturopaths, homeopathy practitioners, etc... Even the physicians that are more traditional have more open viewpoints than those of a century ago. Maybe there is hope. Ben

I find its quite hard to merge the ideas of yin/yang and becoming one with both, against how to live your life and how spiritual processes work. It always seems that light is what we are aiming toward - but aren't we also supposed to accept an equal share of darkness? You even use light in banishing. And either polarity can be good or evil, in its various forms. I find its best to think of it with good and evil as a higher and a lower, then the polarities on either side, like on the tree of life. So being balanced is good, but being evil is not. And if you need to define good and evil you can only follow your heart!

You are the Alpha and the Omega. You are vaster than the universe and more powerful than a flaring supernova. You are truly incredible!!

Yeah medicine really is! I saw this documentary on the discovery channel. It was about the power of our subconscience or the placebo effect. I already read a book on this subject and believed that our subconscience is the true healer and can do anything for us.

The documentary was about an experiment in which people, who were barely able to walk because of a bad knee, were given a fake surgery. Of course these people didn't know the surgery was going to be fake. They were brought to the operation room, doctors there and stuff, and were brought under narcosis (sedation? don't know the right word). The surgeons made incisions in the knee but did nothing more. The next day, the patient woke up and BELIEVED that he was operated (which he was not) and within a few days he was able to walk again like a normal healthy person.

This is the ultimate proof for me that we can heal ourselves and do many more things as long as we have faith in the power of our subconscience. After all, our subconscience let us grow from babies to what we are today. It knows the perfect matrix of our body.

Same kinda story: This guy always told himself before he went to sleep that he was very musculine and his muscles began to grow.

Is that cool or what?

"You should always tell the truth, even when you lie."

I'm curious to see what people's thoughts of duality are, here.  Personally i believe there is neither good nor bad, but plainly just and evil.  Even that is a bit shaky.

Any thoughts?
