Title: Understanding the male to female ratio here at Astral Pulse?

OK so in the status section it says "Male to Female Ratio:   2.8:1" So I am assuming that it means there is 8 parts male to one part female in the ratio. But what does the 2 mean? And did I interpret that correctly? Thanks.
