We're not vegetarian by any stretch of the imagination, I still like eating meat, but we have greatly reduced that which we do eat.
But, ever since my household has made a shift in the way we eat, I've been scouring the internet lately for new burger recipes to try!

That's the only one I've tried so far, and quite honestly, it makes a really tasty and flavourful burger!
But I was hoping that someone else might have another recipe that they use that they would love to share.

Another one I'm hoping to try soon is: http://www.fitsugar.com/Sweet-Potato-Black-Bean-Veggie-Burger-31826317?ref=31406098
But minus the creamy avocado topping.  I prefer my own condiment combination.  hehe

The best veggie burger I've had, was made with black beans patties. My friend bought them from Costco and grilled them. I don't know if you guys in Canada have that store. But anyway, here is a recipe how to make them.

I have been vegetarian since I was a kid, and will never go back

There are all sorts of amazing foods that only vegetarians seem to eat much, so for me, it was like my menu broadened even, except when I go to restaurants; in that case I spend about 5 minutes eliminating everything I can't have, and decide between the 1-5 remainders, haha.

Veggie burgers are always welcome, and there are all kinds based on what you use as the "substrate". I have had a lot that were black-bean and rice based, but also some that were soy- based (although I somewhat avoid soy outside of tofu because it messes with nutrient uptake in somewhat odd ways).

I find a lot of falafel sandwiches too, which are wonderful, esepcially with hummus.

Because vegetarians have to be a bit more strategic in what they eat, based on needing to target B-6 /B-12, iron, and Vitamin D, I think I have learned a lot about wonderful and unusual foods over the years.

From the day I stopped smoking and drinking alcohol I focused on Myself and food that I consumed.
Right now I am eating those veggie burgers made from potatoes and vegetables :) I also use oatmeal to make them. What I've noticed is that I feel much lighter after a full veggie dinner. Sometimes it seems to me that meat weights a lot, my body feels quite heavy after eating meat  :-)
