Venus Crosses the Sun

Yeah, the next time it'll be crossing is in 8 years...2012.  Last time Venus made its transit was 126 years ago, so the next one before our next lifetime is the 2012 transit.

I read that the Mayans came about the year 2012 using Venus so really it is all related. Whether it has any metaphysical or spiritual significance ... well I guess that remains to be seen.

I'm not sure how many of you have heard, but today Venus positioned itself right between Earth and the sun, so much of the world was able to see it 'cross' the sun.  Apparently this hasn't happened in the last 120 or so years.  You can read up on it here: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5138018

Now, I'm expecting some scoffs,laughs, etc, but I was listening to the news about this today, and the lady mentioned that the next time this is to happen is in 2012... coincidence? maybe, but it's still interesting considering all these predictions as to extraordinary/disastrous things happening in that year.
