voices..am i going insane?

That is weird. It sounds very much like what happens before a typical OBE. I have heard voices and a ringing, and im sure that numerous people here have too. As for being awake while this happened, i have no real explinations. Maybe you are becoming more psychically active or something. Have you been experimenting with opening your brow and/or crown chakra(s)?

yeah the idea of having an OBE came to me but i think its unlikely becasue i was awake. I have been working on energy with NEW and stuff every night, but its been a while since ive started. I did notice that lately everyone once and a while i get like, an energy pulse in my head..its kinda wierd. Like it feels like my third eye is moving back and forth. Once again i have no clue what that is either, so i just let it happen when it does. 0_0

Hi do,

I used to get similar noise in childhood and also into my teens. As per being a prelude during actual OBE practice - this can often happens before natural sleep. I used to get it also during school lectures. Especialy so if the teacher was droning on an on - which obviously has an hypnotic effect etc. Looks like you went into a little light trance. No big deal and not worth worrying about. Suppose that is what real day dreaming is like and can include visions while also still being aware of the room or space you are in.

I have strange things like that happen to me once in awhile. Sometimes before I go to sleep, I hear different voices. One night it could be a man, another night a woman. It almost seems like I've caught them in the middle of a conversation.

I do hope I'm not going crazy, since that would not be good.

One thing, don't start believing that demons will get you. (Been there, done that.) If you believe it, you'll experience it. (That was my experience anyway, maybe that won't happen to you.) I guess the main thing here is to be careful what you believe.

I learned that the hard way.

The only time I have heard voices would be on the edge of awakeness and sleep, I'll sometimes hear a (read one) crystal clear voice say a (read one) word. Whenever this happens, the experience shocks me so much I go straight from blissfully drifting off to wide awake, even if I don't open my eyes.

Common examples of words are "Hey!" and
"Sam!" Voices can be either male or female.

Occasionally I'll be drifiting off to sleep while daydreaming and the voices that I'm imagining (and take a life on their own of sorts when I basically flutter off into never never land) will go from being imagined to like it was right there and that will accomplish the same thing as above.

Either way, I'm just like... cool.

lol yeah-- i like that im different and can hear things that others cant.. even though it was a bit freaky at the time. Up until now i had read of people who heard random voices and stuff but i never thought itd be this realistic. When im drifting to sleep i usually dont hear voices, but instead i see a bunch of images and stuff. Sometimes when im walking down the hall i'll think i hear someone call my name and i turn but no one will be there

. it confuses me lol

A week ago I was watching tv and the same thing happend to me everything got quite and I heard someone say "Morgan". I sit next to a girl named morgan in math class and the next day she wasn't there. Weird!. But anywayz before I began doing stuff like this I use to get lots of head rushes like adrenaline rush. It was trippy stuff getting an adrenaline rush without doing anything. And being a little kid. That was along time ago though. I got off topic didn't I.

Hi Magickdan,

In your case it sounds more like spirit contact. Posibly in the form of helper or guide. I used to get it for years before gaining a reasonably clear understanding what that type of buz was.

However, often it would be a supportive gesture and I would also get an intuitive feeling as well - say more usually before having some personal chalenge, and usually positive like say facing an exam or rising and dealing effectively with say a awkward person or situation. A bit like psychic help with growing pains in a sence!

Probably best to acknowledge it and treat it as part of your normality, but if it disturbs you send a thought back requesting that the spirit either should not trouble you unless you seek to exchange communication. I would try to seek a bit more advice about this! Don't take my opinion a read however!

yeah i get the adrenaline rushes a lot too..like im just sitting there and suddenly i get this rush through my body and i like jump a foot. [B)] I wonder why it happens 0_0 I still cant figure out the thing with my third eye though..has anyone else had that-- like it feels like ur third eye is moving forward and back... it just randomly happens and i have no clue what it is or means x_o

I hear other people's thoughts all the time. Sometimes whispers I can't make out and other times I am dead on and shock people. Is that considered hearing voices outside the head? lol

ok-- im really confused and anyone who has every experianced this or have any idea of what is happening to me please tell!!

When I was in history class today the strangest thing happened... like the teachers voice like... got really quiet but i could still hear him barely and like in my right ear i could hear some wierd guy whispering something (the person who normally sits next to me was absent today, so no one was next to me). I couldnt make out what he was saying but it was kinda scary. My vision seemed to be a lot brighter too. Then in my left ear i heard like a WHOOSH and then the really high pitched ring in your head that you hear when its really quiet and you arent thinking much. Except it hurt my ears and i jolted and everything was back to normal. But the thing was, i wasnt asleep... i was wide awake. And i know my eyes were open the whole time, so i have no clue what happened to me.. please help!!!
