Hello to all Astral heads  My names Turk and Ive been scooting through this site for some time now and somethings been bugging me, What is this Karma thing i keep seeing below peoples names? like so and so Karma 5, I'll post something worth reading soon but this has been bugging me. The karma system began when Adrian updated the forum. Its meant to be light and fun. If you read a post that you really like you can (don't have to) 'show' the person by hitting the applaud button under their name. This gives them 1 karma point. If someone says something you don't like or feel is out of line, you can do the opposite which is smite them. This takes away 1 karma point. The points are anonymous in that no one knows who is applauding and who is smiting.

So karma points are purely subjective in that they go up or down because a member(s) agrees or disagrees with what is posted.

Personally, I always read the post for what it is and do not weight it by how many karma points the poster has. I prefer quality to quantity when it comes to this type of stuff. So don't worry about the karma points. Just read the posts that interest you and decide for yourself if the content resonates with you.
