Title: What do the chakras really look like?
Post by: jc84corvette on November 06, 2003, 13:50:58
Sure I will try and find one!

There are MANY chakras. But you want the 7 main ones?

Any depiction is going to be a representation you understand.  Chakra's are not visible, except perhaps with clairvoyant vision, but that is not exactly seeing it?  You know what I mean?  Things like that are beyond the 5 physical senses.

Hi Neo,

This link won't show the pictures you want, but I found the info it has on chakras to be pretty good -

http://www.rickrichards.com/chakras/Chakras1a.html

The word "chakra"(which is sanskrit for "wheel") itself probably describes what is actually seen if you do have the ability to see their energy - that people could see what look like wheels or spinning vortices of energy.

That would be pretty cool to see actually!

James.

Thanks for that link James!

Read Astral Dynamics by Robert Bruce. He talks about how to use chakras for OBE reasons.

Not sure where I read this, I think it was a link from somewhere on here, or it could be the way Robert Bruce sees them himself.

It was described that in complete darkness, you could see a faint blue light swirling where the chakras are in your peripheral vision (aka 3rd eye)

However, I think it's more like this. You sense the chakras are there, almost like you hear them, or touch them, but another sense totally unrelated to any other. You'd only ask a druggie "what does my voice look like?". I think that's kind of what's going on here...or it could just be on a person by person basis...

I would rather ask "what do the chakras feel like to you, and what sense do you use to feel them?"

I can't sense them yet because I think it's going to take a while to develop my subtle senses. I think my 3rd eye is open, just not sensitive enough to get good data yet.

According to Bruce in many of his works, if you were a total HARDOUT then you could see a chakra as a swirling wheel of amazing coloured light, possibly even many colours in one chakra. But usually a dominant colour for the specific chakra. As far as I know, the faint, swirling blue wheel of light is as close as he's gotten.

Besides, who needs to know what those things look like when you've got NEW!

I've searched Google, Alta Vista, AOL, Ask Jeeves, and many other search engines trying to find a legit representation of the human chakras.  Obviously, no photographs exist, so could someone please tell me where I can find a good illustration of them?  An inllustration that depicts their actual appearance?  This would be much appreciated.

Thank you.
