If a group has developed their own runes, it could mean anything. It looks like someone drew the figure, then lit it. Do you know if that was the case? Do you know anyone in the group?

It looks a bit like the arabic way of writing Allah, although there's a couple extra lines in that fire symbol, hmm

It is the OM symbol.... or its close enough, Om is the symbol to represent the absolute Brahman.

Here's a defiition I found for for this symbol, "om":

"The supreme and most sacred syllable, consisting in Sanskrit of the three sounds (a), (u), and (m), representing various fundamental triads and believed to be the spoken essence of the universe. It is uttered as a mantra and in affirmations and blessings."

I have also heard it referred to as, "the sound of creation."
