This is funny. I just found this exact same thing in a book about palm reading three days ago.

While I have info on the destiny and personality numbers, I don't know anything about the name number. I'd like to compare and see what your book says about the above numbers. []

OK - my name number, and I tried this in a few different alphabets and always came out with the same answer (!!), is 8. My birth number is 11. And, get this, I was born on 8/11/81 [][][].
I spoke to donni about this (woo donni wooohoo! cool person) and she said that 11 is a high spiritual number, whereas 8 is more concerned with manifestation in the physical universe. I am an engineer and would say pretty spiritual - specifically I want to make "spiritual technologies" and am very interested (um...ok....obsessed! [|)]) with fringe/edge science which is, basically, like the vanguarde movement of science. Always gets there first! Lots and lots of things I wanna make and invent to help the world out and make it a better, cooler place to live [8D].
So yah, "coincidence" is REALLY pushing it! I guess it does work.
BUT I am still what I am, regardless of numbers and stuff. Donni said she likes this stuff for confirmation, I couldn't understand what she meant then but think I do now.

I don't know how true these things are, I know I don't take them TOO seriously because I have no idea where this book got it's info from, I'm more interested in the similarity between the numbers...[] Anyhow enjoy, and sorry for the crappy translations, had to convert from dutch to english []

Amazing. I am obsessed with the big picture (9), but I'm way more selfish than you're average person and, I must confess, self-absorbed, because I consider myself and my place in this world to both be mysteries the most worthy of study somehow.

Actually, all double digit numbers (11-99) are Master Numbers and carry their own weight.  It is just that many numerologists don't know much about them, there are a few books out there that explain more about Master Numbers.  Contrary to an earlier post, a person can resonate more or less with the vibration of either their name or their birth date or a combination of both... even a Birthday number can be the number that one favors.  

My Life Path Number (Destiny number as it is called here) is a 3

My numbers that make up my name are all Master Numbers, these are the ones that I resonate towards, using my creative 3 Destiny number to help me in accomplishing my goals in this incarnation. (coincidentally, I was able to keep all of my Master numbers in the same order when I got married...)

11 isn't even talked of in that book. (I think this is a very rare number though, It can only happen through the numbers, 38, 47, 56, and higher. I think this one  is more prevalant among those who were born at the end of the last century. 1995-1999...It might be of a special meaning indeed! (don't start thinking you're the most special person of the world though!)

As for my translated descriptions, please don't take those for granted!

By the way phong, what you told about 9,9, and 9:15 was very interesting! But as for what it means, that's up to you to figure out. If you have a theory, come and share it with us, so we can share thoughts. []

Yesterday I got my hands on a book about 'numbers'.

This is how it goes:

You got
1) a life destiny number, which is the sum of your entire birth date.
I've been born at 27-03-1985. 2+7+3+1+9+8+5=35 and 3+5=8

The strange thing is that as a very young kid I picked 8 as my 'lucky' number!!! It still is []

2) a personality number, which is the sum of the day you were born at, in my case: 2+7=9

The obvious thing here is that 27/3=9 [:O]

There's also(less important) a 'name number', which is the sum of all your names.

1= A, J, S
2= B, K, T
3= C, L, U
4= D, M, V
5= E, N, W
6= F, O, X
7= G, P, Y
8= H, Q, Z
9= I, R

Mine is: 78----> 7+8=15
