Why is it a shame?

You do realize that individuals require certain items (money) in order to survive in this physical reality, right?
I see absolutely no problem in attempting to survive here by sharing that which has taken almost a lifetime for David to accumulate.

Anyway, most of what the Astral Pulse offers is free.  You technically don't ever have to pay a dime to learn how to do astral projection... you even have access to personal assistance through the forums here with many very experienced projectors willing to give their time for free, including David.

I, for one, would absolutely LOVE to be able to turn this into something I could do to survive on.  I don't exactly LOVE the job I have in order to earn enough money to live... and to do something like teaching Astral Projection would simply amazing.

Same here. I even considered a night school course for those interested.
Its a good thing what David is doing. Lots of people know that personak tuition is expensive and the course offered is not.

Hello Ajdin and M4RT1N,


I just saw this topic come through my email and wanted to offer my input about charging for spirituality.

When Adrian asked me two years ago to be the instructor to teach OBE and that there would be a cost for membership, I was very skeptic and reluctant. I felt exactly the way you expressed and that spirituality should be free. I still hold those same values and it will never change.

Now, your saying "but you are making money and going against your core values". What we don't see is that the time, energy, creative design, tools, network bandwidth, disk space, copyrights, creating the site, web site commercial purchased plugins, pdf manuals, books and the list goes on. Someone had to  write and program all this and trust me its not free when your the developer, designer, and the teacher. The astral academy literally took Adrian and I two years to complete, organize ideas, and program a million hours of trial by error til we got it right.

Just like college to advance your knowledge and find a better paying job. In college you have to pay for books, the instructor's fee, course, transportation, the building to teach in, housing, food, electricity, and the list goes on. I think you understand where I am now coming from or at least hope so..

Now, there is a *right* way to place a cost on spirituality and a wrong way. The astral academy was $24.99 each month and the student could terminate anytime. This is a modest and realistic cost vs. taking advantage of people with their hard earned money. Just look around the internet and research the high priced psychic's, mystics, advanced projectionists asking for arm and leg. This is where I draw the line and it doesn't matter how much you know, advanced, super guru professional spiritual leader. It is a crime and people will buy into it for spiritual awakening - in my book it is spiritual rape.

My web site www.invisiblelight.us is 100% free and there is two hundred hours of audio and video. Radio show interviews, experiments, documentation, instructions, statistics, etc.. To run this continuous costs me about $300. a year and the site has been live for the last 8yrs at no cost. Your more then welcome to visit, email me questions, my door is always open..

I am very proud of what I have accomplished with out-of-body experiences and it's research. Along with helping others for what ever their interest is with obe.
When I helped a woman who is blind actually experience an obe and could see, it was a gift and healing. Now, that woman can project because I invested my time creating and setting up all these resources that I expressed earlier from business standpoint. What Xanth and Szaxx wrote (Thank You) about
helping disabled, handicap with astral projection. It has to start somewhere as long it is modest way of going about it for helping others.

A couple of years I used to think your way too. I thought everything of spiritual value should be free and charging for anything was bordering to forming a money grubbing, people controlling cult, however nowadays I realize that modest charges to enable a teacher to live a modest life, doing something one is passionate about is a very reasonable thing to do and not everybody has the time and funds to do these things on the side for free. A soulless grind in a job also might hinder the continuing spiritual evolution of the instructor.

Charging money tends to limit classrooms to people who are serious enough to follow through, so the time of the instructor is not wasted.

In the end most knowledge of any kind is available on the internet for free these days, if one is capable of wading through the noise and making up his own mind, but paying someone experienced reasonable amounts for the teaching of his condensed spiritual knowledge is not a wrong thing to do.

As long as the amount paid is a token amount and the teacher is genuine about his ability and willingness to teach, with no intentions of extracting unreasonable amounts of money from the student later on, I see nothing wrong with it.
