There is a movie currently showing here in the states called White Noise. It centers around a character played by actor Michael Keaton who utilizes digital recording devices and computers to record electronic voice phenomena (EVP), that is, voices and images of those existing in nonphysical reality. Such phenomena is nothing particularly new, however has been made more widely known recently.

The movie had expert advisor/researchers to assist them in the making of the film. These researchers have a website by the way, it is http://www.aaevp.com/ . However, in the movie, the moviemakers shift away from the more interesting research into "movieland" type situations and ending.

In conclusion, I would slightly recommend the film, perhaps as a rental. The research aspect is interesting, and it's one of those events that generally may serve to capture the general public's interest in the continuation of life after physical "passing over" to nonphysical reality.

Very best,
Nick

I watched this film 2 weeks ago and wasn't that impressed... It had its scary moments but the scripting was bad and as for the ending what a disappointment.... 5/10 for me  :(
I haven't lost my mind, I've backed it up somewhere...

Hi CptPicard,

Thanks for the reply!  :)  You are right about the scripting, as I think they blew it. They could have made a more informative film, but went with a far reaching premise, and very disappointing ending. I'd recommend anyone wanting to see it wait for the rental.

I didn't like it simply because it could scare people away from this area of investigation.  Some more information can be gotten at http://www.worlditc.org/ , download the free pdf at http://www.fargfabriken.se/fjf/ , and try The Ghost of 29 Megacycles mentioned in the AAEVP books section.

Hi Adrift,

That was my feeling as well. People who may have a serious interest in this type of research being frightened by the movie's scare tactics. By the way, thanks for the website link, and the book recommendation. I'm currently reading Tom & Lisa Butler's book: There is no Death and There are No Dead. I'm only a couple of chapters into the book, however so far its a good read. I'll look into the book you mentioned too.

Very best,
Nick
