Projecting into your own chakras means to enter a physical body. We are all doing it right now. OBE is projecting through and out them.

When I tried to project into my chakras, I felt them as some weird shapes that enlarged and surrounded me while slowing to a stop from their vibrations. It feels really good.

Hi All,
We can enter any part of our body at will by simply placing our attention/focus there.   You can journey through your chakras and see what organs and areas they relate to and also use the exercise for raising Kundalini energy along the spine so that it flows up through the chakras.

This information comes directly from experience, which in the strictest sense could not be called an OBE.  But, I do not particularly like the term OBE anyway as it is quite narrow in it's various definitions.  I prefer to call them journeys and then simply describe the awareness levels as you go, so in these particular instances they would more likely be called Inner Journeys.

The only thing that I know of that can stop you from going anywhere you choose, including inside your body, is what you believe about it.   Simply practice using your focus within your body and allow the experience to come, with regular practice sessions you will find that inner journeys are really very easy and after that the outer journeys will become just as simple for you.
