Typical!
the one time Robert Bruce decides to come to the U.K, I am moving to the U.S for a year!!! doh!
G'day!
All is not lost.
I will probably be leading another workshop in Costa Rica early next year. This will be at www.hotelcostaverde.com (a great site)
Take care, Robert.
Its such an honor to see your post!
wish youd come to the U.S.
Thanks
i've emailed concord to get some more info about this. there will be a fifty person limit. they are about halfway there now w/ registrations coming in regularly. if you a put a deposit down the rest of the money is due by oct 30th. if you go it will be easier to fly into london, at or near paddington station, instead of birmingham like i originally thought. from there you will be able to make your way to abergavenny, where buckland hall is.
meals will be served there. you would spend the first night on the twenty-sixth, though the first workshop day will be on the twenty-seventh. this is what i remember reading. i could have it a little mixed up though. it's all on the site that is provieded.
G'day!
Below are the venue times. Guests can arrive on Wednesday the 26th of November after 6pm. No meals will be served this night, but we'll have nibblies and the bar will be open, etc. Also, a fish and chip shop is 5 minutes away, and we will have a car available.
The workshop is fully catered by the absolute 'best' macrobiotic chef (French) in the world. So you can expect magical food at every meal. Also, tea and coffee and biscuits will always be on hand.
DATES & TIMES (local UK time)
Thursday 27th November 10am - 9pm'ish
Friday 28th November 9am - 9pm'ish
Saturday 29th November 9am - 9pm'ish
Sunday 30th November 9am - 5pm
*Guests can arrive at Buckland after 6pm Wednesday 26th November, 2003 (Program does not start on this day)
So, to answer one question, not, you don't have to buy food as everything is catered for. The accomodation is luxurious to say the least. And as for the cost, try booking similar accomodation in the UK and see the cost, and you'll find its very similar to the Wales venue, which of course includes myself and etc.
All hype aside, this will be a progenitor of a workshop; not to be missed.

The above link was faulty for awhile, but we just had it fixed thanks for our new stand in webmaster, the incredible Muzza!
All hail the Gods of computer science!!! (note that our original webmaster, Zufo, is not well and could use heaps of prayers)
Take care, Robert.
G'day Folks!
Just a quick update....
Bookings for the UK workshop are going very well. We have about 15 places left; out of a total of 50.
If the workshop goes well and there is a demand, another workshop at the same venue may be possible in say May or June 04.
I'll post details of the Costa Rica workshop here when the date is set. I am hoping for February or March 04.
Take care, Robert.
ooooooooooooooh Costa Rica!
Is anybody from this forum going to attend the workshop?

Me too!!!
I'm new to this forum, only on the net at work unfortunately.
Can't wait to meet to you all there!
Could we please get some pics taken at this event and post them on the site? it would be great to see how it turned out and of course to see a picture of the elusive Robert Bruce in action [;)]

Wow, that would be awesome to go to that, but time and money just don't allow me at the moment, maybe not the costa rica one either,I hope you continue to do them through the years in hopes that I can do one eventually. Nice to see you on the forum again. Ben

Robert has asked me to make available the following details:
G'day Forum Folk!
I have been invited to lead a four-day residential workshop entitled 'The Heart of a Mystic" in late November of 2003, for the Concord Institute of Integral Studies. The venue location is at beautiful Buckland Hall, a luxurious mansion in a secluded part of Wales, UK.
