How does one obtain Karma?

Ah I see, I was a 1 when I first asked the question, and now I'm a 2.  Maybe asking the question is the first step on the journey?  Or maybe it's just to do with the number of posts, who knows

Hi whiterose

Karma is given/taken away by the [applaud]/[smite] buttons below the karma.  If you particularly like someone's post, or feel they've been especially helpful/thoughtful/interesting, then you are free to applaud them.  Likewise, if you find someone has been nasty/rude, then a smite might be in order.

I believe you have to have at least 50 posts to be able to applaud/smite and there is a time limit between each applaud/smite (I forget how long).

There is no meaning behind the karma - it's just a bit of fun!

Thanks for that, a great idea.

My cheeky little question seems to have got me a rating of 3, surely more than it deserves.  Then again, maybe you should be rewarded for taking yourself too seriously.

How true! but since I have also been smoted, it just goes to show that what life can reward you with, it can also punish.
