Strange isochronic beat tonight

I was woken up tonight by a strange sound outside my window - it was like a very powerful isochronic beat. It was so loud that car alarms were going off everywhere. It was was very intrusive and forcefull, I could feel the pulsating energy of this beat or whatever it was. And it also created a strange feeling - reminded me of those cases of sailors going insane on the ships when they encounter a certain frequency wave. It went on for like 10 minutes and then stopped abruptly.

I talked to my mom about it today in the morning, she said she didn't hear anything, but she certainly lied because she looked freaked out.
And then she added in a matter-of-fact tone - "Did you look outside the window" I said no.

It was pretty bizarre cause there was no rection from people that live around me although I am pretty sure I wasn't the only one woken up by it

Any similar experiences?

I would have definitely questioned her further. That matter-of-fact tone sounds interesting. Of course this was a year ago so may not apply.
