 I seem to be full of questions lately :D

One of the problems that's been plaguing me more than anything else these days, is when I've reached a state of mind where I'm comfortable and am getting some good hypnogogic snapshots all of a sudden I'll have one image that appears out of the blackness(Quite suddenly/randomly), which sticks and tries to pull me into it at a vast rate of knots. I suppose this must be what's termed the 'whoosh' and boy is a whoosh! Now this seems to trigger the protection mechanism in me that Frank (I think) has talked about and pulls me back to the physical. I can only guess this is the same mechanism that wakes you up, when you're falling in a dream and are about to get squished...

Is there a way (perhaps via some F10 type repetitive affirmations or something), to either slow the 'whoosh' down, or to get the protective mechanism to ease off a touch (to allow the transition)? It seems that the two processes are opposing/fighting each other, ending up with me I suppose in a bit of a 'push me-pull you' loop here, having worked diligently to get into the right frame of mind, only to get kicked out again just as the whole process is about to work.

Thanks in advance :)
