I good into AP and OBE about two and a half years ago.. Gave it a try, then school work started to get in the way.  I want to retry doing it but i cant even remember most my dreams, let alone realise when i am dreaming.

Where shall i start?

1.  Start a dream journal.  Write down what you can remember.
2.  Think about your dreams during the day, what your emotions were during them, wondering if they mean something.
3.  Take your dreams seriously - respect them.
4.  Meditate.  Even if for 5 minutes a day.  Slow the mental chatter down to as much as you can and just be.
5.  Learn to relax.  Deeply.
6.  Have an attitude of "I don't care whether this leads to AP or not, I'll simply enjoy the ride"

To complete selski:

7-Develop your chakras
8-Raise energy before AP
9-Practice hard

A good way to enhance dream recall is thinking about the bits you can recall like selski mentioned.
Try to rerun the parts you remember while observing as much of the different sensory content as you can.
Go over the recalled bits trying to recreate the touch, then do the same with colours, then smells, then sound. DO combinations. See what comes up.

The trick is not in remembering (Since you remember everything) but in recall. The stuff is in there. The problem is getting at it.

Personally I found a dream journal a hindrance.  MIght work fr you though. Give it a try.
