Hello Math,

There are even deeper levels of trance or (hypnosis)

System of Walter Sichort:

INSUSCEPTIBILITY :
0.

HYPNOIDAL :       1.    Closing of the eyes
             2.   Fluttering of the eyes
             3.   Swallowing
             4.   Relaxation
             5.   Deeper relaxation
             6.   Complete physical relaxation

LIGHT STATE OF                7.   Eye catalepsy
RELAXATION :                     8.   Limb catalepsy
                            9.   Body catalepsy (body rigid)
                                      10.   Light anesthesia (glove)

MEDIUM STATE OF          11.   Partial amnesia
RELAXATION :               12.   Posthypnotic anesthesia
                                               13.   Posthypnotic suggestions (simple)
                     14.   Personality changes
                     15.   Change feeling (hot-cold)
                                               16.   Delusions (false belief, ignorance of actual facts)

SOMNAMBULISTIC           17.   Posthypnotic amnesia
STATE :                   18.   Eyes open while in deep hypnosis
                                                19.   Bizarre posthypnotic suggestions
                                                20.   Complete state of somnambulism
                                                21.   Positive visual hallucinations (posthypnotic sense of                                                                                       seeing)
                                                22.   Positive auditory hallucinations (posthypnotic sense
                                                           of hearing
                                                23.   Spontaneous amnesia (no recall of suggestions or
                                                           actions while in hypnosis)
                                                24.   Hyper aesthesia (extreme sharpness of the senses)
                                                25.   Negative visual hallucinations (sense of seeing)
                                                26.   Negative auditory hallucinations (sense of hearing)

ESDAILE STATE :                27.   The body very flaccid - will not respond to physical
                                                           Suggestions

CATATONIC
STATE :                                  28.   A non suggested state after a true Esdaile State the
body can be put in any position and can remain
that way for long periods of time.  Resembles
rigidity but the muscles are not flexed.

SICHORT STATE       29.   State of extreme flaccidity (discovered by Walter
(continues REM)                                      (Sichort).  In the Sichort State the body is
completely anesthetized for minor or major
surgery.  There is no recall of what has been said or
done after coming out of this state, and recall
cannot be given back.  Subjects experience complete
time distortion, eight hours seem like minutes.  The
Sichort State is, or at least resembles REM sleep,
but is safer than normal sleep; in any emergency
               subjects will come out spontaneously.

Thanks Hypnotist

I assume the levels Robert Bruce talks about correspond to Light to  Somnambulistic.

Are you familiar with the Monroe Focus levels? These focus less on physical body symptoms and more on internal states of consciousness.

e.g. "Focus 10 is a level in which your mind remains awake and alert while your body sleeps calmly and comfortably"

I think astral phasing can happen at Focus 21?

Hello Math,

Walter Sichort past away 4 years ago and he discovered and defined three additional trance depth levels below somnambulism: coma, cationic and ultra-depth.

All levels affect the physical body and mind or Consciouness.

If you would like to see some information on Ultra Depth you can go here.

Just don't make trance harder than it is to achieve. You don't need to worry about 21 different levels of 'trance', because it will cause it to be much more complex. The easiest way to achieve a full-trance state is FOCUS/CONCENTRATION. What is FOCUS/CONCENTRATION? Let's pretend you were looking at a physical object (an apple). When you look at it you see it's textures, colors, density, flaws and blemishes. That is FOCUS/CONCENTRATION. When you are trying to obtain a level of trance you must FOCUS YOUR MIND 100% and not let it stray on random thoughts. This is easier said than done, but you have to remember a few IMPORTANT details. STAY IN REALITY! By this I mean, when you lie down/sit down in your chair/bed you MUST MENTALLY STAY AWARE that you are in your bedroom and feel the room around you. Don't drift your thoughts toward sleep, because you will head AWAY from the conscious trance state. TRANCE is FOCUS. You must keep relaxing and relaxing, yet keep your mental focus of the room around you. There are two easy ways to achieve trance.......

1. Afer you close your eyes, slightly cross them and create a point of focus within the blackness behind your eyelids. Keep the point of focus about a 1-3 feet in front of the black void behind closed eyes. This will keep you mentally focused and remaining mentally alert and aware of the room around you without slipping into random thoughts and drifting.

2. Sometimes #1 isn't enough and you need more, so after you close your eyes imagine an object (your favorite that you know well) about 3 feet in front of your closed eyelids and 'feel' it behind there in reality. This will help you keep the focus you are looking for to achieve the trance state.

Remember that when in trance you are one step up from the physcial body and one step down from the atral. Don't make trance out to be a mystical enlightenment. Trance is VERY close to the physcial world. Keep that in mind. This is why it's necessary to KEEP your FOCUS close to reality and the room you are in.

Again, just remember that the trance state isn't some magical state that you have to 'fight' your way to get into. It's natural, but FOCUS will get you there and not stray thoughts. If you haven't been there before and aren't familiar with the sensations and aren't sure if you obtained it, then you most likely didn't get there or achieved only a very light level. When you enter a full-trance, YOU'LL KNOW IT! Everything changes and you will KNOW something very peculiar is happening to you. The room around you will change and you will feel like a speck within a gigantic void of blackness. Everything gets QUIET and you HAVE 100% FOCUS and mental awareness of the room around you, in a expanded state of awareness.

FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS.........

holy reality

"because you will head AWAY from the conscious trance state. "

but it's much easier to get into an unconscious trance

so say you do that, then you jolt out of it, and are about to go back in, how do you seize control at that point and make sure you stay alert while going back in?

my problem:

anyway where can I find monroe's descriptions about the different focus levels? I find the "criterion A" and such that everyone in the world copies and pastes onto their shabby websites, but that's about it.
!..............!

Thanks AstralAdam.

Maybe focus is something I have overlooked in the past. I shall certainly try it.

In his book Astral Dynamics Robert Bruce talks about 3 different levels of trance; light, full and deep. He also gives detailed descriptions of how each of these levels of consciousness feels (p223-226).

Is anyone aware of how these might, if at all, correspond to the various Monroe Focus Levels. e.g. perhaps light trance is like F3 etc.

Thanks
