This is going to sound really weird  I was wondering if any of you have this happen to you as well?
Essentially what happens is I'll be sitting at home, doing whatever, if I'm in a relaxed state of mind and looking at an object for a few minutes, i.e the tv, or a book I start to see things moving, or rather floating round the room. Normally they'll start in the periphery of my eyesight, as long as my eyes don't snap to the movement I can watch them moving around for several moments. Some of them come up really close, I wonder if they are actually people who are non-physical? I've tried talking to them in a non-verbal form, but haven't got any replies as yet. I always used to see them only in the evening, when the lights in the house were usually low, but now they are appearing, or rather I'm becoming aware of them during the day as well. They don't have any colour as such, they're more like a dark point, or maybe a shadow moving.
It'd be nice to know I'm not losing my marbles ;)
Cheers,
Steve
I dont have quite the same experiences as you but alot of times I will be walking through my house and in my periphery I will see someone/part of someone move towards me. Usually it is just a greyish white face or maybe a blob of black. It was kind of creepy at first but if I look at the direction nothing is there and I cant see anything with my eyes if I look straight at it so I just shrug it off. The day I start seeing this stuff right in front of me is the day I bust out my camera and start a ghost busting team! :skull:
I see flashes of light and dots in dark rooms. i am pretty sure it doesnt "mean" anything, but it is crazy to experience ;)
After my experience with Ecstacy pills containing MDE, which led to some crazy hallucinations, I can often see 'tracers' or little lines and stuff flying around the room. Usually catch on in my peripheral vision, but sometimes in plain sight.
Along with that, though not due to that experience, I often see 'particles' or little specks of light flying around in the air if I focus. And a few times i've 'seen stars', that really tripped me out :)
Isn't life full of beauty and mysteries? :D

Steve, what you are seeing may be nothing but visual effects when your eyes start to get tired, but then again, maybe not. I wonder if it might be wise to set some wards around your house (mental wards) and maybe mist some saltwater around the place and see if it makes a difference.
Devine (and others), I just don't see the point to experimenting with drugs that you know will change the way your brain processes information. Isn't it hard enough getting where we want to be without muddying the waters even more?
I feel the same way about the anti-depressive medications doctors prescribe. Medicos have no real understanding of how the brain works, or what thoughts are, but are still tinkering with it. Sheeeesh!
If you are serious about meditating and OBE, astral, or anything else mental, then I would think you would make every effort to avoid anything that messes with the ingrams (so to speak).
I am going to have to put an "except for" to my opinion on drugs (at least those given by doctors). I just read a post where someone is gaining some positive benefits from medication and in that case I can't argue with success. He also had an idea of how to control his hallucinations -- and he knew they were hallucinations.
The problem comes when you can't tell what is real and what is not.
Then again, what _IS_ real anyways?
As for drug use, yea everyone has their opinions on it. Me? I'm always open to experimentation, no matter the substance or technique, and I enjoy holding this kind of mind state. I always research what i'm going to use thoroughly.
Sadly, that E experience was wrong, totally wrong. Unexpected and unwanted at that point, plus the pills were excrement. Not much research before then either. Still, I cannot change the past, so I look at it as a learning experience, in many ways. And hell, it is still an experience I cherish.
I wonder sometimes, seeing as we are all admittedly connected 'somehow', our thoughs are intertwined as well, so hallucinations are just as real as anything else the mind has created, but perhaps not that many people experience this particular thing so its not as 'clear' as something such as gravity?
Speculation speculation :P

Drugs are not bad at all just misunderstood in this day and age. Hallucinations not real? Then please explain to me your definition of real! Not-Of-Physical-Origin i can accept, but "fake" they are not. They are creations of your own mind.
The trick is realizing that ALL reality is merely a creation of your own mind. It makes a whole lot more sense then.
Drugs are simply a way to mix your everyday waking consciousness up. Sure we can all OBE and enter the RTZ but a drug trip is like having a lucid dream in waking life. A great reminder, those drugs.
Please keep in mind that im talking mostly about harmless psychedelics, like pot and mushrooms etc. i do not endorse the more harmful drugs like coke, heroin, etc. Addiction is a bit**.
Ben K: Wonderfully put! I think back especially to the two mild mushroom trips i've had in my life, those experiences really teach you something. You get feelings inside you, that are virtually indescribable, ranging from understanding, being at peace with the universe, to seeing the infinite potential and power we all posess to influence reality. The MDE hallucinations, with such intense clarity, shocked me even MORE, being amazed that the mind is capable of producing such an effect! Really got me thinking just how 'REAL' our reality is o_0

Have you read about DMT? http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/dmt/dmt.shtml
Now that sounds like something i would like to experience!
Oh my YES! I've always wanted to try DMT or even 5-MeO-DMT. I have talked to many people on the net who've done it, and even one person locally that tried it.
My one online friend did an experiment. As you probably know, going into a psychedelic trip (or any trip for that matter) with a negative mindstate\emotions is bad news. Well, my friend tried DMT, depressed as ever, and after the trip he felt AMAZING, happy and ready to live again! Can't say many drugs will do that to ya!
Problem is, it is quite hard to acquire around here. I have yet to find anyone that deals it. Sure, could get some phalaris grass or whatever else DMT is in, but the extraction process is not really something I would like to mess aroudn with right now :(

greatoutdoors, guys,
Thanks for the replies. No these aren't 'optical-floaters', I know the difference  These are full on 3d. What I mean by 3d is they'll move around in the 'waking-life' 3d environment. I had one pop through my chest the other night, whilst I was laying there, reading a book. LoL Like all these things I need to be in the right frame of mind to see them with any reliability. Just so y'all know, I'm not taking any drugs of any kind to get this effect. It all happens 'Au-natural'
Cheers,
Steve
