Phasing and "body"

Hey Patrik!

I think phasing is more of your conscious taking the trip.  I am just starting to experiment with this myself and am finding it is more like a tv/movie screen.  You do go into the picture, and you can call it stepping into it, but your just a giant head. [:P] that is how I describe it.

Like I've said....just started testing the waters in this part of the ocean, I could be wrong...[;)]

We can learn together! [:D]

If that is the case, than another "problem" occures...

Phasing is usually considered to be either 1) getting into a gateway/portal and 2) stepping into a hypnogogic image.

With lucid dreaming, stepping into a hypnogogic image is called WILD. It is basically the same thing as phasing, and I think WILD is just a missunderstanding, being that lucid dreamers think it is just a very clear lucid dream... But in fact they are in the astral. I have never done it, so of course it could be subconcious, in which case you probably notice when interacting with people. Regardless, if it is subconscious, one can still "wash away" the subconscious images, and see the astral for what it really is. In which case you are there, in full 3D inviorment, with "body".

And since entering hypnogogic images, is considered phasing, shouldn't the same thing apply for gateways?

I thought I had this all figured out, but it seems I am just getting more and more confused... Perhaps just best to work on it, and see for myself...

But if anyone knows, it would be greatly appreciated.

Hahahaha, you have me confused now, and I hope someone comes along to set me straight as well..[:P] I guess me feeling like a giant head is not the way to go..[:D][:D]

In the meantime, not sure if you have read any posts by Ginny, but thought you might like reading her take on phasing.  She hasn't been around lately..[:(]  Hopefully she will stroll back in soon.

hehe yea, Ginny is one of the people who caused me to get confused ;)

At first I considered phasing to be when you actually "steped in" and you were there like in the physical. And then that there were yet another way again, to access the astral. In which you are still aware of your body, and far from as clear as OBE and phasing. Some people call this channeling, even though I think that name confuses with spirit channeling.

But then I more and more got the feeling that what some people call "channeling" and phasing are actually the same thing, just the level of trance which differ (where channeling you can still move body, and phasing you no longer are in control of it, but still "there"). And this is where the confusion starts... Can one actually step into the astral, and it becoming full 3D with phasing? Does it depend on the level of trance? Can one enter the gateway/portal and still stay in "body", but "choose" to enter it, just like one can with hypnogogic imagery? Perhaps if you place an "intent" in the 3D blackness you stay in body, and just "see" the astral, while if you enter a gateway you "get there"?

There are a lot of questions, and unfortunately very hard to answer it seems :(

Patrik

I thought I had this all clear for some while, but have been reading a lot of the older posts discussing phasing.

I have always considered phasing to be a means of internally getting to the astral realms. Meaning one "steps into" a hypnogogic image, or enter the astral through a gateway/portal in the 3D blackness. I have never done it myself, and getting to a "3D blackness seems like an impossibility", but in theory anyway that is how I have figured it to be.

So far so good.

But when doing this I took for granted it would be like stepping into a lucid dream, only fully conscious and "REAL". In other words it is all 3D, one can touch, lift things etc. With the difference that in an OBE one feels "separate" from the body, and more like air. And in phasing, one uses a sort of "dream body", not aware of the physical body, but not feeling separate as a classic OBE.

However from reading a lot of older posts. I am more getting the feeling that those who do phasing, are more like "watching a TV screen" and interacting with it. They are not really aware of their bodies, but they DO know they lay in the bed. And they can't jump and feel like they are jumping, like in a lucid dream.

At the moment I am a bit confused. I have been working hard to get "successful" in phasing. But if it does not feel like you are really THERE I don't know if it is worth it. Better to put all the effort into the classic OBE, regardless of the memory problems that can occure.

In short, when phasing do you step INTO the astral, or is it more like interacting with a TV-screen or remote-viewing ?

Thanks.
