Title: Anybody heard of Spatial Angle Modulation (Monroe Institute)?
Post by: Frequent Flier on February 12, 2012, 07:36:19
Instead of binaural beats, a single tone is moving from left to right, in a stereophonic field, faster than the brain can process and force the brain to produce a signal like the tremolo of binaural beats. They can also create multiple sounds at once.

It's supposed to help get you in altered states of consciousness. It sounds as if it can take you farther than Hemi-Sync?

They're interested in states that correlate with gamma waves (above beta frequencies).

I've ordered a few cds using that technology.

Anyone have experience/knowledge on Spatial Angle Modulation?

A free track you can listen to -SAM -: http://www.monroeinstitute.org/forgiveness-peter-russell/

And some people who doubt the efficacy and think it's more marketing: (it's from July 2011, I hope since people have more discernment into it..)  http://blog.higher-music.com/the-monroe-institute-announces-spatial-angle-modulation%E2%84%A2/

No, it's not isochronic tones. It's a moving, 'shifting' (from left to right) tone, at high speed, which has an effect similar to hemi-sync. The vibrato I mean.

It's new, by Monroe (institute).

I have the 2 free beta tracks (as far as I know there are only 2) available from TMI. They're pretty good - I really like the "forgiveness" track. I'm curious to see how they are going to apply this in the future. The science behind it is pretty interesting (if legit): http://www.monroeinstitute.org/research/spatial-angle-modulation/

I'm receiving my CDs this Friday, according to a delivery estimate.

It'll be interesting to find out.

One is about balancing chakras. Curious to experience it...

Any stereo headphone will do, just make sure it's not noise-canceling.
