Did Steve Jobs know how to project?

I don't know :-D, but he gives us a good description on how projection could be approached as a discipline.

Coming back after seven months in Indian villages, I saw the craziness of the Western World as well as its capacity for rational thought. If you just sit and observe, you will see how restless your mind is. If you try to calm it, it only makes it worse,  but over time it does calm , and when it does, there is room to hear more subtle things --that's when your intuitions starts to blossom and you start to see things more clearly and be in the present more. Your mind just slows down and you see a tremendous expanse in the moment You see so much more than you can see before. It's a discipline and you have to practice it.

Seems more like a meditation guide to me, plus the usual wisdom of 'living in the present / now' into the bargain.

Of course, meditation can be a starting point, but we can only make speculations about it, unless we find more quotes of him with comments about experiences during the meditative state or as to what it led him.

I guess that the majority of meditators 'only' meditate without reaching ever any kind of oobe state or experience, the same might have applied to Jobs. From this quote, it is only clear to me that he practiced meditation and had a spiritual inclination, so to speak, but more is not said and remains hypothetical.

Go to a random meditation or yoga class and ask the participants how many of them have had experiences with obe/ap. I assume that only a minority might have some knowledge (passive or active) about it, since they are into metaphysics in general, but there might be some who won't even know a lot about it.

I consider astral projection the pinnacle of meditation.

Dabbling in the lower realms of your consciousness becomes childsplay once you become serious about astral projection. You become an uber-agile thinker.

Idk if he projected, nor am I willing to speculate, regardless, what he says about calming your mind is absolutely true. I meant this as advice for beginners. You know, a calm mind may be the real advantage of a drowsy exit attempt. That alongside him reinforcing it as a discipline before it will ever become a pleasantry.

This and that the benefits carry over to your 'career' if you allow them too.
