thank :-)

I actually astral projected in my psychology class last year all the time with just minutes of napping. They were always strange and hazy, but i had no meditation before. they never lasted more than a minute or few

never meditate. wake up do stuff go back to bed ap.. or ld into ap... really easy to ap when i am hug over and my body is tired but not my mind. plus a night out at the bar makes it very easy to get all the energy u need to ap when you wake up in the morning. also easy to do when i am at work and really tired. i know i cant fall asleep so i end up aping...  in all of them it is very clear and the time frame is hard cuz one min in real world is a lifetime or only a second in the ap one..
is it bad when your dreams are better than real life!

Chaos Mage

My dreams are always just flickers of images with strong emotions.
There is so much information obtained from these short dreams that it sets up my whole event calander for the next day.  It seems like a divine form of brainwashing, yet, the evidence for it being a psychokinetic spasm of a low dimensional energy is always the initial reaction.
I do not believe my dreams are invaded, there is actually some truth to the activity of the brain versus a body which is reinforced with astral matrices, and how the brain is not the soul.
The chakra provide a ready, usable alternative.  I now believe that by using the chakra successively, you will build up greater personal energy and be able to maintain, shapeshift, or charge an alternate existential state.
The consequence of having astral matrices is that you gain too much density, and will have to actually phantasy to eat up your energy.  Phantasy then becomes a conscious means to actively, slowly, with full consciousness, enter the astral.  Perfect meditation enables silence and peace to be the sum of the reality, with your own peace and love to nurture and grow and mutate all life into it's own true state.
Those who are souls, are souls, and have the Spirit as their master, Freedom, Truth, and Light.
Strength. Endurance. Speed. Resistance. Stamina. -these are dimensional, at density and frequency.
Will. Courage. Faith. Love. - these are spiritual, the power to effect Life Force.
Balance. Peace. Focus. Charge. Awareness. -mentally active self control

I always do it best when I'm hungover as well. Something about it. Just quick getting to that state for a nice experience. Sometimes it goes the other way around though in time. I've had an AP that felt very long, probably 30 minutes. I had been asleep for 5 minutes. Time isn't consistent there.

Meditation never helped me. I do affirmations and visualization before falling asleep and it works wonders. But you have to be consistent with this practice for results. Only one night of try out won't do.
To your second question, I can explore the astral for a long time without snapping back. On several occasions I even thought that I was dead, because I kept thinking of my body, but I did not wake up. I don't think that physically I was in danger, just my consciousness was very focused and strong that it allowed me to stay longer.

I usually have short OBES. I think every OBE I have had took place in the real time zone as well. Have had great verifications.  :-D

I can't wait to have long astral projections. I think right now I get to excited and find myself back in my body in no time... If I had to guess my longest OBE seemed to be 8-9 minutes. All my others seemed about 30 seconds to 1 minute. xD

So far I have experienced two types of OBE. I can easily go to sleep paralysis and then to the real time zone but like Armyof one they just last 1~5 minutes and I wake up automatically if I get too far from my physical body however they are quite vivid and I am fully aware of everything going on, the other type is those experiences that are not really planned and usually happen after a lucid dream and almost always there are higher beings behind them. They last longer probably 10~30 minutes (of course I don't have a clock over there  ) but the problem with them is that they are not that vivid and I don't have full understanding and full control over them. In those experiences I talk to those beings in languages that I don't understand when I am awake and they are still very mysterious  to me. So far I haven't had many of them.

I had been meditating before I started practicing Astral Projection, but I don't think those both are (or have to be) related. My OOBE's get longer over time :)

For those whose OBEs can not benefit from meditation, the OBEs will not benefit from meditation.

Those whose OBEs will benefit from meditation, will benefit from meditation.

For those whose micro-mini demitasse is full, no more additional content will increase the volume it contains.

For those whose goblet is mostly empty, many options are available to increase the contents.

Short OBEs are typical and common. For those who want longer OBEs an effort must be made to stop being so typical and common.

If you're looking to do more than just a spontaneous projection in the middle of the night or after being hung over... or if your aim is to eventually learn to project anytime/anywhere... then learning to meditate first is PARAMOUNT.

You need to learn to focus your consciousness... THEN, you need to learn to hold that focus for extended periods of time (30 - 60 minutes would be a good place to "START").  THIS is what meditation teaches us.

Meditation *WILL* help you on your path to learning to project.  But don't fool yourself, it's a long path for most people (by 'most', I mean 99% of people).

Okay... this is a difficult moment but I gotta admit that you have a good point here.

Those who can sit and meditate every day for 2 or even 3 hours straight for a couple years, if done well, will bring a skill and inner strength to the OBE table that is going to serve up some pretty satisfying experiences.

It is hard to keep that effort up, for the average Westerner with a job and a family - but for those who can manage it the effort is well worth the time.

I suggest you start as soon as you can and keep it up for as long as you can. I have never kept up the "over an hour" meditation daily practice for more than a couple years but I have to say that for the time that I did I learned things that are not gained any other way, imho.

I have never used meditation. The longest my ap (spontaneous ap's) as lasted was around 30 seconds.
