Last night, after going to sleep, I decided to slip into a trance/meditate/reach some state. So I began affirming "I'm outside of my body" like a mantra and mixed that with visualizing myself in my living room. I drifted into a nice trance where my body became numb and my mind started to slip in and out of consciousness. I remember that the earhiss disapeared a couple of times and that I gained to much waking consciousness after that. All in all it was nice.
But in the end something unexpected happened, which have never happened before I think. Usually I get a strong flutter/pulsating in my forehead at my brow-chakra area. That comes very easily and very often to me as my third eye activates, and I got that yesterday to but very early in the session. The thing yesterday was that I got a strong flutter in my base-chakra.
Well, I don't know if I have a clear question here but I can give a few.

-My guess is that this was my base-chakra activating, what do you think?
-Do you usually get a chakra activated like this, with very physical like sensations?
-Why does it activate like this when not even focused on?

Kind regards - Linus

It could be associated with what you were doing during the day (heavy physical activity), or it could be an imbalance working itself out, or maybe the start of a kundalini experience, which starts at the base and rises through your spine to your crown. Your base chakra is the one that grounds you in the physical, so maybe you're loosening that grounding. That's all I got. :)

If you do chakra energy work (running energy, meditating, concentration, chakra breathing etc.) it is important to keep it balanced. That means working with all chakras, also the lower ones.

Robert Bruce also warned that it is foolish if you only train your upper chakras. Many do this, e.g. some only do energy work with the third eye to become clairvoyant. According to him this could be even dangerous. It is necessary to do the grounding work also for physical and psychological health reasons. A balanced system is the best for performance - and health.

Thing is the only energy stimulation I do is chakra stimulation and that is on all chakras. So I don't have a favourite chakra that I stimulate more than the others.
Stookie, your guesses are as good as mine then but it makes sence. I would guess an imbalance working itself out or it having to do with me going to the gym. If its kundalini related, well.. then thats highly interesting :) We'll see!

Sometimes I have a fluttering sensation there when I find myself unstably floating around my room. Usually the experience doesn't last long when it happens. It is in my base chakra area and feels really really weird. It was very awkward. Maybe it's similar? It's not like I've focused there or anything or tried to develop some areas more than others. I haven't thought up a reason before, but I'm curious to read more responses.
