Happens to me when I'm not tired enough.
I believe that is your astral body slamming back into your physical..[:D]

Yep, yep. Frightens the life out of me. Has me reaching for the sides of my bed [:)]
whether you believe it is the astral body coming back to the physical or not, it is your awareness coming back to you. i get that in meditation sometimes ill be in a deep trance and all the sudden, im not, i think its where ur just about to fall asleep and ur goin goin, bam ur consciousness wakes itslef up.
A lot of times I will be getting to go to sleep in my bed, I'll be just about asleep when suddenly I'm jolted awake. I don't know why or even if this partains to this discussion but if anybody could answer it would be appreciated. It just annoys me not knowing "why?" about these things.
