Title: Buying Hemi-Sync in Europe
Post by: math on January 16, 2004, 14:27:49
Hi Huwie

Have you looked at http://www.relax-uk.com/.

I was thinking about the gateway experience just before Christmas when I come across this site. I must admit I don't know anything about the company and was a little nervous of ordering from them. So I ended up making my own CDs using sbagen (free and comes with presets for f3 - f27)

If you decide to order I would be interested to know how you get on.

Cheers

Well, the site has Thawte-verified security and all credit card transactions are fraud-protected these days, so I doubt there's too much risk here.  I think I'll be ordering from this website and if so, I'll certainly post about the experience.

Thanks for the link. [:)]

OK, spurred on by reading one of Robert Monroe's books I decided to order from this site myself today. Ordered Wave I by phone and spoke to a very nice lady called Ruth. They have a special offer on at the moment which meant I could also get a mindfood/metamusic etc. CD for free [:)]

I was told order should arrive by Thursday - Can't wait.

It seems very good. So far I have listened/participated in Discovery #1 (track 1 cd 1). This takes you from waking consciousness to Focus 3. It also introduces the concept of an "Energy Conversion Box" into which you place worries/concerns etc. and an "Resonant Tuning" excercise.

I *think* I recognise Focus 3 as being the state I can usually get to by myself when I'm wide awake and do meditiation/trance state practice. This again confirms that I need to go further to be able to induce an OBE. The only way, up to now, I have been able to get further is by entering a sleep cycle and "snapping back", which is a very hit and miss affair to say the least.

I have read that some people find Robert Monroe's voice "gets in the way" i.e. They are really getting into a particular focus state when his voice cuts in saying something. So far I have found the guided voice to be very helpful. There is one point where it does "make me jump", but that's at the end of the exercise when it's time to come back to waking consciousness. I think the important point is, as many other people have iterated, that the CDs are intended to provide training to enable you to get to a particular state of consciousness. Once you have enough experience with the CD you can then get there by yourself.

Anyway, one other thing worth mentioning is that this appears to be much more effective for me than my homemade focus 3 CD (made using sbagen).

Cheers

Splendid!  Thanks for the review and I'm glad to hear it seems to be working for you.  Sadly, I've had to reroute my cashflow so I've been unable to buy my copy yet, but there's no doubt at all that I will get it eventually now.  Are you going to stick to Discovery 1 until you've mastered it then?

I don't know about mastered it, but I will stay with until I become familiar with the state of consciousness induced.

I am finding focus 3 to be deeper than I had envisioned. I find my senses shut down to a large degree, although not to the point where I loose sight of my body altogther. I find myself envloped in blackness with occassional swirls of colour. I also get the sense that I am on the edge of floating within the blackness. I suppose I could be slipping past focus 3?

Anyway I'm looking forward to focus 10 [:)].

Has anyone here bought any Hemi-Sync from European dealers?  I've been on http://www.hemi-sync-europe.com but there's no info about any of the British dealers other than contact info.  I'm not really sure whether to go for it, or just order directly from TMI and put up with the added wait of ordering from America.

Does anyone in the UK have any stories to tell?
