Title: Chakral Stimulation
Post by: Job on May 19, 2006, 01:17:55
This is a method to directly exercise a chakra of the astral body at will.

For those who don't know, chakras are faculty and sense organs of the astral body. In most people they are commonly inactive.  This post will focus upon the means by which the frontal chakra (located between the eyebrows, near the center of the head) can be activated and exercised at will.

STEP 1:  The first thing to do is to give the chakra a 'warm up'. To be able to exercise chakras at will it helps to be able to hear them. To warm up the chakra (to a level in which it can be heard) a mantra can be used. Mantras are phrases or sounds which are chanted to produce psychic effects. Mantras are used for remembering dreams, astral projection, and various other purposes. The mantra that is in this thread exists for the purpose of activating the frontal chakra. To be able to further increase its vibratory activity, it has to be exercised at will.

STEP 2:  The mantra I

Pronunciation:
I as in (see)

1. Sit in a comfortable chair.

2. Inhale slowly and deeply through the nose, filling the lungs with air.

3. Exhale. While exhaling say the vowel I, prolonging it, until the lungs are out of air iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii...

4. Again inhale, through the nose, filling the lungs with air.

5. Upon exhalation again say iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, until out of air

6. Repeat the mantra on an on continuously for up to an hour.

STEP 3: After saying the mantra for days the frontal chakra should be hearable. The sound will be subtle, not as audible as ordinary things that are heard (almost like a slight ringing or whistling in the head). Some people are used to hearing chakras (when they are barely active) and mistake them for a problem with their ears; but the sounds are not.

When it is hearable, concentrate upon the frontal chakra and try to increase the sound and exercise it at will. Spend up to an hour doing it, replacing the use of the mantra. If the mantra needs to be said more to further stimulate the chakra then that can be done. However, the mantra doesn't work as well as exercising the chakra at will.

(PM me for a sound file of the mantra)

Thanks!. Some few questions...

Can kumbaka be applied also? (air retention when inhaling).

Does the air must rub the throat when exhaling? (as in the bumble bee breathing).

Any side effect? (headaches, inner voices, reality alteration,...)

Can be practiced just for 15min? (some of us are, sadly, too busy).

The focus of a mantra is the prolonging of the phrase(s) or vowel. The key point in getting the mantra to work is the resounding phrase. The breath is a secondary factor (Kumbaka is not suggested). The deep breathing not only has the effect of further prolonging the vowel, but it can provoke an altered bodily state.

One would have to be using the mantra to possibly get a clue of what i'm saying. It can be done for 15 minutes, although it will be less effective.

The frontal chakra possesses the faculty of clairvoyance. By learning to stimulate this chakra, it is possible to then stimulate the others in the same manner.

I think I may have opened a chakra last night then :)

I have this ability to "flex" a muscle within my brain if you will, which gives me a sudden burst of energy around my body and makes me twitch. So last night I was playing with it, feeling the energy expand and shrink, trying to control it..

After a while I stopped, but noticed a ringing sound. I have tinnitus so I know it wasn't that because it wasn't high pitched enough.

It started driving my crazy, I was trying to find the source of the sound. I turned all the electrical equipment off, shut my window, checked the taps and could not find the source of the sound. I noticed if I put my fingers in my ears, the ringing became louder, which was then when I realized it was coming from my own head..

Is this the sound? the best I can describe it is when you wet your finger and move it around the top of a wine glass to make it ring, it sounded just like that.

Does anyone who has tinnitus sound like any of these? http://www.rnid.org.uk/VirtualContent/84933/tinnitus_simulation2.mp3

Mine is similar to the first one, but nowhere near as high pitched, and without the air-rushing sound effect in the background.

The third sound effect sounded like vibrations I had once before...

Anyway, just asking because I don't know if what I'm hearing is tinnitus or my chakra (the sound I hear sounds similar what a TV sounds like with no volume - but again, not as high pitched)

what is tinnitus?

The furthest i have got with this mantra was a feeling of pressure around my brow chakra area. that was after a few mins of doing it but i stopped after that.
