Hi all,
With things being fairly quiet on the boards I've been pondering a great deal as to why I seem to have such trouble with my phasing practice, end up spending so much time just goofing around focus 10. I'll lie there, watching the swirly colours and go through run-downs of all kinds, still no real whoosh(Although things have got pretty close on occasion). I get all the usual hypnogogic snapshots and all that stuff, but still there's been no tangible events. Many people I've spoken to have said essentially that you just can't rush these things (Almost like "You must pay your dues" scenario), in some respects I'd agree with them, though my argument with all of this has been if you really desire to do this why is it that so many of us seem to spend an almost unbearable amount of time and effort to get a result of some sort? For some time now I've had the feeling that somethings been blocking my progress...
During the last few weeks I started trawling the web again to see if I could find something that might help, came across a part of an article that was on Bruce Moens website about how to change blocking beliefs, regarding the ability to perceive the non-physical worlds, amongst other things. Having read through the procedure about ten times I begin to wonder if it is indeed the case, that these aspects hold our entrenched beliefs, apply them (Like filters of a sort), to our physical waking consciousness, literally colouring our perceptions relative to those beliefs?
So anyway...The other night I thought I'd have a go at trying to contact one of these aspects, just to see if they are really there. Made my way down to a somewhat flaky focus ten(On my way to sleep), said to myself "I want to speak to the aspect that controls my ability to perceive the non-physical worlds". At this point I usually I start talking to myself in an imaginary form, though just as I start the conversation a shimmering blue entity appears off in the left of my peripheral vision, says "What seems to be the trouble, sir?" I must confess that I was so surprised that it worked straight off the bat, knocked me right out of the state. LoL.. When I get another chance I think I'm going to have a chat with my new blue friend :)
Has anyone else tried a method like this to un-block themselves, so to speak?

hello Steve 2B,
I know this method very well. Thanks to it I retrieved hundreds of my aspects and limitations that were connected to them. Personally I beleive that it's the coolsest method for "self knowing" on this planet. Quick, fun...AND it works !!!
I've also put this technique to use (though not enough). I have found it excellent as well.
One thing I like about it is it make it so that you assume responsibility for these things, or at least see different aspects of yourself, and take your own counsel to rectify your problems.
I hope you'll have more to this blue entity story for us soon!
Well crap! This is exactly what I've been looking for. I've wanted a technique to explore myself deeper, and I know this is it.
The funny thing is that I've used this technique before... on other people. In Craniosacral Therapy (John Upledger) the facilitator enters a quite state and begins to 'assess' the client. What Dr. John recommends is gently requesting a conversation with the clients 'inner physician'. This is an aspect of the client that knows all about their emotional and physical health. The facilitator then requests that the clients physician leads him to 'problem', which is usually suck emotional energy or some such thing.
I never thought about applying it to MYSELF. What a great idea! Thank you SO much for opening my eyes to this. I know it's worked for others, so I know I can do it for myself! Thanks again.

Yea....why pay $$$ to a shrink if you can do this by yourself
Remember that in order to have this method work you have to heal your aspect (you carnation). See, understand, forgive, let go...
Good Luck!!!!
Isn't that similar to EFT (emotional freedom technique )?
This sounds very interesting!
I will try it soon on some aspects of my musical performance.
