Hello All

I thought it would be interesting to share any "strange" experiences we had as children that we now know to be connected to projecting/projection states.

I'll start...  :-P

Not many to relate.  I had the usual flying dreams when I was younger - I'd fly like Superman over towns and cities.

Experience 1

I would have been about 9 or 10.  I had on my wall a picture that I drew in pastels of a silhouetted rowing boat in the water.  There was a man in the boat.

One night I remember watching the picture, fascinated as the man was actually rowing the boat and the whole scene "came to life".  I could even see the ends of the oars as he rowed (and I hadn't drawn the ends, they were in the water).  The water rippled and he rowed further into the picture, getting smaller and smaller. This seemed to last for a good 20 seconds or so.

Experience 2

Very similar to the first one.  I would have been a bit younger.  I had a poster on my wall about the Highway Code.  It was a promotion at the time and some character called Tufty (a squirrel) was teaching us how to cross the road safely.

Again, I remember looking at the poster at night and watching it come to life.  Tufty was directing the children across the road and he was moving around, looking at me and winking and so on.  I watched transfixed for a while.

Experience 3

I used to stay at my Grandparents occasionally and my bedroom was a little box room.  There was a cupboard in it very close to the bed.

I must have had an experience that was not so pleasant, as I was always afraid of that little cupboard when I went to stay.  It never stopped me from going, but I remember I used to "be asleep" but was able to see inside the cupboard.

That room was "odd" to me.  There was something different about it.  It had an atmosphere that wasn't familiar and I never liked it.

__________________________________________________________________________

The first two experiences are most likely astral vision, as it would have been pitch black at night when I saw them.

The third I'm not so sure, perhaps there was some non-physical being living in the room and I was vaguely aware of this, without fully understanding it, thereby making me a little frightened.

Over to you...

Wow, your experiences are very similar to mine, I thought I was reading my own experiences!

Let me relate a few of them:

Once I went to an excursion with the school, it was a very big farm, with waterfalls and caves, I was about 10 years old. We passed by the priest who was fishing, and we went on hiking. Later that night I was falling asleep and staring at the wall, I clearly saw the same image of the priest fishing, it was moving and I could hear the water also. I started screaming to break out of it and soon all the monitors were in the room, my friends who were asleep woke up. I told them what had happened and that's when they all started to think I'm crazy.  :|   I SAW THE PRIEST FISHING ON THE WALL, I SWEAR!! LOL

Once we were playing hide and seek, I might have been 8-9, and one of the girls turned off the lights. Not knowing where I was I kept staring deeper and deeper into the nothing, until a giant eyeball came flying towards me, I started screaming for them to turn on the light cause I was being attacked. She did, and then went to tell her mother what I was saying, she didn't let us play hide and seek anymore.  :? OMG, I SAW THE GIANT EYEBALL COMING TOWARDS ME!!!

I also had a problem with my parents cupboard, I was sure that house was haunted and that the cupboard was part of the problem. It was really scary, I thought it kept staring at me. I had many visions forming on the cupboard while falling asleep. An interesting one was when I saw Bruce Lee's shadow moving it's arms like when he did to try and hypnotize his enemy. Obviously, I jumped into my parent's bed right away.   MOM, BRUCE LEE'S SHADOW WAS TRYING TO HIPNOTIZE ME, CAN I SLEEP HERE?

Nice thread Selski.  :-D

Great thread :).

Some of the predominant memories of my childhood are of what I called "eye spiders". Even now I can vividly remember multiple occasions where I saw them. They were human looking eyes (with eyelids which would blink), but they had spiders legs. I remember around 6 years of age in a friend's garden, on the fence at the back one of them was sat still on the fence just watching. Another occasion I was in my parent's living room and on the wall above a shelf one was sat watching me.
They looked as real and solid as anything in reality, and are still vividly remembered. I have no idea what they were though :).

A scary memory is of me reading in bed, I was around 9-10. A wardrobe had a full length mirror down one side. I used to read with a torch, and on one night I was looking around the room with the torch, I then saw something which instantly terrified me. The light was reflecting off the mirror onto the wall. This made a bright rectangle on the wall, and in the rectangle at the top was the silhouette of a head. There was nothing is the way of the light, and nothing which could of cast such a silhouette.

Another scary memory is of when I was 5-ish. I was in the infants (pre-junior school), and I went to the toilet with a friend. The toilet had a door to outside on one wall which was usually locked. Suddenly something started banging the door, shaking it and trying to get in. Whatever it was, it was making a grunting inhuman noise.
I went over to the door and looked through the keyhole. I saw a 3-4 foot red being. Its face was all wrinkled and it seemed to have a single eye in the middle of its forehead. It looked angry :p. My friend looked and saw this too, so we both ran, quite terrified out of the toilets to the safety of the teacher.

5-6 again, I used to get up around 6am on weekends to watch the cartoons. One morning I was in the living room and I heard a noise at the back of the room. It sounded like hooves. The hoof sounds were coming closer across the floor. There was nothing there, but the sounds were quite real. I remembering thinking of the devils hooves, being terrified and running back to bed!

Finally, a strange set of events concerns all the children I used to play with. We all seemed to have an impossible shared memory. Old open top aeroplanes swooping into the street, one after the other. I have vague memories of being on their wings.
This was a shared experience throughout our childhood – but I can't see how it really happened :).

I was in the 3rd grade and a bunch of us kids were playing baseball. It was wet and the ground was muddy. I was running to home plate and I slipped.  What happened next is one of weirdest things that I can remember. Especially at the age I was. When I slipped my feet came right out from under me and I moved in slow motion. It felt like time had stopped. From the the beginning to the end of the fall felt like a minute. I was completely suspended in air the total time. Another weird thing, I could see my self as this happened. This was 30 years ago and I still can remember it like it was yesterday.

As a child I used to have a repeating dream where I was in my room and something carried me from my bad. I was so scared in that dream that I never opened my eyes. Once i remember waking up from something like that and there were "ghosts" arond my bed for a split-second.

I also remember having a drem where another child entered my room through my wall and we started talking..... it was not just a child, I can't explain who or what it was. I wanted it to come back in my other dreams etc.

I remember one night something touched my back... I remember it very clearly because I thought it was Jesus but was to scared to turn around (I am not Christian... that Jesus thing was just something I believed in my childhood.... don't ask me why I thought like that. I don't think Jesus touched me that night anymore.)

I remember my brother telling me that he was an astronaut in his former life (I think he said he was an astronaut)....... I don't really know what was up with that, he probably just wanted attention from me.

Thats about it I think... I will edit it when I remember more haha.

I think this is the crux of the memories I had - they were 30-odd years ago and they have stayed with me all this time.

I believe I kept the two pictures for a long long time - thinking that they were "magic" pictures in some way  :-P  - I wish I still had them...

Up to about age 10, I could stare at one of the walls in my room, usually before going to bed with the lights out, and see scores of white hemispherical objects slowly floating down. I could visualize this everyday if I wanted to.

After watching WWII film clips of mass paratroop drops in Europe, I'd say that is very similar or exactly what I was seeing.

So I wonder, was that the last thing I saw in a previous life?

Then my question is, why the freck would I want to reincarnate so soon?

Hoping that next time I don't see this planet until Sol goes red giant in 5 Bil years.

Here's another one I had.

I was about 7 and we lived in a rural area in Indiana.  There was a small country road in front of our house. It was not uncommon to not see a car come by for an hour. It was a hard top road so you would occasionally see a large truck come by. I was outside playing and seen coming down the road a semi truck pulling one half of a double wide trailer. For those who do not know what this is..its a house thats pre-assembled/cut in half and then is transported to the build site. They were traveling about 35 mph and I watched them come up the road...it was the biggest excitement of the day seeing this house on wheels. Right in front of me as I was standing by the road... the house came off of the trailer and slammed into the hayfield next to me. I was not shocked at all...because right before this happened, maybe about seconds I knew this very incident was going to happen. I had some sort of thought or something and I knew this was going to happen before it did. For a long time a after.. I actually thought that I somehow caused the accident with my MIND.

I remember I had my first lucid dream when I was in primary school, I must have been 10 or 11.

I was dreaming that I was walking through the school corridors to assembly (which we all did once a week on a wednesday to hear assorted bore-inducing lectures from the head teacher etc)

However as we were all walking along, I suddenly 'woke up' in my dream and realised that I was dreaming; I became almost 100% aware. I knew I could not be in school going to assembly as I knew for a fact that it was Saturday morning and I was still in bed. This really freaked me out although at the same time I found it facinating and pretty cool. I remember the absolute reality of the situation; how real my feet felt as they hit the floor as I walked, how real my school mates seemed, I ran my fingers along the wall as we were walking along and I marveled how totaly real and solid it was. It must be one of the most lucid moments I have ever experienced until my astral experiences many years later.

I woke up eventially (waking up to physical conscousness) but the experience left a real impression on me as the experience was so real, as real as anything in the waking world, yet apparantly this dream was 'not real'. It led me to question the whole nature of reality and just what 'reality' is, and this was when I was 10 or 11!!!

I guess this may have been the moment that set me on the path to the astral world and its exploration. I haven't looked back.

I remember very well being in a hospital-like room, when I was about 5 or so. My mom was there and so was a nurse. I had dozens of those wire things with little suction cups at the ends attached to my bare chest. The lights were out, but you could still see because of a screen next to me showing a very clear, colour image of my heart beating. I remember thinking it was strange because I thought hearts were shaped like most kids think they are.. you know what I mean. But it was what I now know hearts look like.

I'm sure this wasn't a dream, it seemed as real as any actual memory I have, and it's one of the clearest memories I have of my childhood. I've asked my mom if it happened, she said no. I don't think the technology that was used is even real yet. I used to think maybe my mom and I were abducted by aliens, and my mom just doesn't remember. Now I guess it was an Astral Projection, but why was my mom there? She doesn't know anything about the Astral.

I've been seeing things like that all my life as well. Still can. What are they?
