The idea with dimensions of the virtual-reality generally is that they are built in planes atop each other but recently someone in another forum pointed out that they are built perpendicular to each other (let's leave out the Universes here since they apparently are 12 pentagons forming a dodecehadron)
This makes a lot of sense when knowing that the dimensional construct is essentially cubic, but how?
I'm theorizing, it would make a lot of sense for there to be 6 planes on the inside of a dimension (cube) and 6 on the outside of it, with each plane facing it's neighbour plane in 90° angles.

Interesting- in some of my more abstract projections I have seen something similar to that, and I didn't know what I was looking at.
I'm still trying to understand a few things related to these dimensions as well and how they relate to energy and consciousness. Describing all of this with words is very confusing so I made a picture that may be helpful:

If anyone has any theories on how these three concepts relate to dimensional planes I would like to hear them.
Or at least let me know if you think I am on the right track.
Not sure of what you're asking specifically- but if I had to relate all these concepts with dimensional theory, I'd say that there seems to be a relationship with perceived frequency of a medium (after all, sound, color and temperature are ways to perceive frequency, visual, auditory and feeling- so I'd say that we humans have the tendency to associate high frequency to experiences/environment that are more psychologically distant than physical-sensorial experience-as we relate directional distance (low to high dimensional distance-> low to high frequency -> close in psychological distance (more like material perception) to far in psychological distance (less physical and more abstract).
Kind of what the hindus did with the chakras (the 'lower' chakras are more physical, and the colors go from low freq. (red) to high freq. (violet) except for the 'very high' one that has all the freq.s (white or gold, but not 'regular' gold). They just placed all these attributes on the physical body, while the 'planes' are given distance and dimension based on their comparison with 'earth', which is 'the most physical'.
Now, some people believe that the colors of the chakras was 'assigned'- I wouldn't know, but it fits quite well- and some people believe that projections to certain environments are facilitated by 'such and such' chakra. I don't know if this is true either, but it seems that there are different ways to project (or they feel different as they happen) and there seems to be specific chakra activity associated with them.
Again, IDK if this is purely psychological, but there you have it.
Is that what you were looking for?
I think 'dimension' is an ambiguous term people use for several things.
Light/particle frequencies - these can be called dimensions because different frequencies present a different world. If you lived on a lower frequency, for example, you would see through certain walls and perhaps be unable to touch them, and new objects might appear. (just look at how different Earth looks on other spectrums http://orbitingfrog.com/blog/2008/06/25/earth-and-friends-in-multiple-wavelengths/ )
The state of matter - these can be dimensions because there are states of matter that transmit through ordinary matter. I'm no expert on this but I've learned a few things. Lacerta said EMF space crafts (saucers and the like) work by converting their matter to another state - I think it was the 'post-plasma' state which might be the same as Bose-Einstein condensate. In doing this, they can bypass ordinary matter and move at extreme speeds (inadvertently becoming invisible to us as well), so it's like another dimension even though it exists in ordinary space.
Universal layers - in addition to physical states, matter also exists in several forms on several layer. This information is extremely esoteric - not existing in any human documents or artifacts I've seen - so I've only picked up information from a few humanoids and put together a model of how it works. The universe is made up layers and bubbles. One bubble, for example, contains our 'big bang'. While the bubbles contain visible matter, the layers control how that matter behaves. If I read Lacerta's interview correctly, our bubble interacts with the 'information/energy' layer; and if I read another text correctly, our spirits/minds are mostly a product of that layer, and as such, they are not plainly visible except to the mind. In this sense there is a sort of 'mental plane' separate from the physical even though it's important to the way material behaves.
I guess anything you can't plainly sense can be called a dimension. Your mind gathers data and creates a generalized model of the universe, and things can happen right under your nose that defy this model
You both seem to be on the right track but I think one thing we also can't ignore is time and the affect it has on all of these concepts as well. As Zareste stated, universes are in the shape of large bubbles with layers in them that affect how matter and energy behave. Matter is unique in that it can be destroyed but energy can't, it can only transform or change frequency.
I also believe that time can only be controlled in a 'bubble' and therefore each universe may have a different rate at which time flows. Artificial 'time bubbles' can be created using technology (in this dimension) allowing you to control the passage of time inside it. What I'm not sure of is how this process affects our physical dimension when it is used on any other dimensional plane. For example if someone occupying the same space as you are now in another dimension created an 'energy time bubble' to accelerate time would it have any effect on matter in this dimension?
I also like how CFT focused on the perception of these frequencies. It would seem that our perception is limited to only sound, color and temperature. And although I am not an expert on chakras (http://www.crystalinks.com/chakras.html) I do believe that they all vibrate at frequencies proportional to these primary dimensional planes. For example the base chakra (red) would vibrate at 40 KHz, orange at 41 KHz, yellow 42 KHz and so on. Of course it may not be KHz, it may be MHz or GHz who knows.
Well... Time, energy, and frequencies are definitely not easy to understand but I think if we work together we may come to a better understanding of how all this stuff works.
