Projecting woes

Hi guys.

So, its been pretty much a year with me attempting to project out of my body. So I guess I should give a brief summery of everything I had gone thru up until now.

I remember the first attempts were very subtle. They would start by my hands always being pulled up and stay that way for about 10 minutes. then they would start to go in circles and then change directions and so so and so on until the whole thing stopped. After a while it started feeling like I was actually being pulled up. This time when my hands rose in the air they would pickup my entire body with them and it felt like someone is holding my hands and is trying to pull me up (out?)

Then things got even more freaky (I didnt care really cause I liked these "rituals" so much). From that point onward all my attempts started being "aggressive". After the whole hand thing started getting old (maybe someone gave up  :-P) seems like "someone" decided that its time to bring out the big guns. So from that point on I would get thrown around in bed in every possible direction. My head would go wildly from side to side, the body would receive these kind of "jolts" that would yank me up and down.

My eyes almost always begin to wink at incredible speeds, my throat formed this gulp that causes me to swallow and all kinds of bizarre stuff that I could never reproduce at a normal state. Note that its interesting to see that none of these "weird" rituals never scared me, I was actually excited after each "violent" attempt.

Edit: thought I should share some of my early OBE experiences.

When I was 3 up until pretty much the age of 6 I would have this one constant dream of either flying or falling very very fast. These dreams would come to me every night for these 3 years until their frequency diminished and its rare for me to have this kind of dream right now. I was wondering if these could be possible projections when I was little?

Also, from time to time I would have "dreams" where I would see future events in my life. These were mostly random encounters or situations like me sitting in the library with friends at school or having a conversation with one of them in class. These kind of dreams were very frequent during the age of 12 to 16 and then they stopped. Thing is I could never remember having them up until the point I have the deja - vu feeling when all things fell into place (ie: people standing exactly like in the dream, environments, a line being said the same way and so on).

Could this be some sort of a trance? what can you guys tell from your experience  with all of this?  :-)

Thanks for any reply's.

Mate, You have to relax if you try to control it or get excited your Astral Body cant get out of your physical plain... If you get excited you drop out of the relaxed state...If you want to get out dont control it...The first time you want to go with it, your along for the ride...good luck...

This...
Relaxation is probably the biggest part of all of this.
Try using the "Progressive Relaxation" technique.  This is the one Robert Monroe uses in the Gateway CD's.
You start by relaxing each set of muscles in your head, one at a time (jaw, cheeks, eyelids, eyes, scalp, etc...) until they're nice and relaxed.  You should start to feel a sinking feeling in your head.  It's a feeling kind of of your head sinking *inwards*.  Then after you've achieved this, start with parts of your body starting with your neck/shoulders and working the way down.  Bring this new "sinking" feeling to all parts of your body.  By the time you're at your feet you should be REALLY relaxed and already on your way to the trance state (mind awake, body asleep).  :)

You should start from scratch.  Get Astral Dynamics (by Robert Bruce), Out of Body Experiences (by Robert Peterson), or go to www.astraldynamics.com

be awesome.

Thank you guys for the reply's. When I said I was excited about it, I was referring to my first few attempts. Since then it's been pretty normal for me and doesn't trigger any king of excitement.

Xanth - thanks for the tip, Ill try this one :) I wonder if it feels like I feel sometimes when I am really really tired. When I sit in my chair it feels like my body is sinking into itself... does this resemble that feeling?

Xanth

Well, I'll tell you this...
Relax all the muscles in your head and tell me if that's the same feeling you get. ;)
