Hi
I wolud like to ask 2 things about LD-s. I have 1-2 LD-s per week. After I realize that I am dreaming/becoming conscious, the dream usualy ends very quickly. I might have 20-40 secs (subjective time) then it ends abrubtly. I am aware of tecniques wich can prevent the dream from ending: Looking on your hands or the ground, start spinning, flying... These are all should be applied when the dream imagery starts to fade. However, in my case the dream diisapears abruptly, so I can not use these tecniques. I tried to stabilize the dream with focusing on my hands and the ground for a few seconds, but it did not prolong my dream very much.

1, Does someone know any methods which can prolong the dream and which can be used before the imagery begin to fade?

2, Do you know any method with which I can extend my subjective time in the dream? (for instance spend 1hour in the dream while your physical body stays in bed for only 10 mins)           Thanks in advance

I usually jump like this to make my LDs longer and more stable: http://upload.snelhest.org/images/100310jacks.JPG (Jumping Jacks)
You could go to http://www.ld4all.com/guide.html > while > stay lucid, To get good information aswell. But i found out Jumping Jacks probably works best for me.

Don't know how to modify the time.
First and only (classic) OBE so far: 12th August 2009
LDs: Once per week :)

For myself (and this has apparently also worked well for others), when I start to feel the grasp of Lucidity wearing off and when I start to feel like I'm waking up... I spin!  Spin like a top while in the lucid dream.
You obviously won't get dizzy or anything because there's nothing actually physically spinning... but for some reason it grounds you in the dreamstate.
Give it a shot.  :)

usally during an ap or ld my awareness drifts back to my physical body and i can feel my face even though i am out of my body so i sorta spring back. its hard to explain

you know when you use to play 2 player games how you would have split screen one on top and one on bottom. well imagine that on this screen there is the physical me and the astral, lucid me.

while i am in lucid or projecting i imagine that this split screen becomes unsplit so you can see from just one player view and this would be my lucid view

while awake i see it from my physical view

so basically i am on a one player screen looking through the eyes of my ap double or lucid double i start to drift back
this is where i can now see from my physiical and astral/lucid body.
i become aware that my astral body is somewhere else yet i can still feel my hand or face

so all of a suddenly i imagine shoting or springing millions of miles away as far as i can from my physical body back to my lucid body or astral body back to odne player lucid dream view

this keeps me lucid and usally keeps me lucid until i loose motive for been out and just decide that i ve had enough.

i gotta question about what i just said. if i am projecting or lding and i have split awareness thern decide to shoot my consiousness back to my double like i explained above. what vechile is my consciousness travelling in

cant be astral cause its back where i left it.
cant be physical cause its asleep.

just wondering never thought about it before

I've had this problem allot, and it was quite simple when I worked out how to do it. Just DO NOT! think about your body, or waking up, or thinking about that your about to wake up. Concentrate on scenery or talk to characters in your dream to divert your attention away from waking up.
I did this and stayed lucid for a long time, until I got a little worried that the lucid state was going on for to long, and that something may of happened to my body. At which point, I forced my self to wake up.

Hmmm, the trouble with that is - when you know there's something you absolutely must not think about, you are immediately COMPELLED to think about it.  :-D
