Title: Do you all phase?
Post by: Astralsuzy on July 14, 2013, 17:52:18
Hi all, does everyone in this forum phase to ap.  I do not phase.  I do not think I do.  I never looked it up so I am not really sure.  I do know that it is good to notice things when your eyes are closed.  I only notice things when it is obvious, like one time I saw a lion.  I have seen other things as well.  I try to notice more on how my forehead and body feels as that it a very good sign to know that you are about to ap.  We are all different and what works for me may not work for you.  I realise that.  I was just wondering if I am the only one that does not phase.

Nope.  :)

We have probably the full range of experiencers here on the Pulse, even amongst the moderators.

As you said, there is no single way that works for everyone.  You'll find that sampling among all forums.

I prefer to teach Phasing, as I feel it's probably the easiest method to understand and put into practice, but that's about it.  :)

You know. I don't think we are all different. It's a term commonly used on AP forums yet all I see is similarities and sameness. If we were all different we wouldn't feel the sense of camaraderie we do. We would have nothing to relate to. There would be no use for guides or teachers.. because... after all... what can they teach if what they do is different?

No.. we are all the same... we just have differing opinions, beliefs, qualia and life experience... varied ages... tastes. But we share this thing in common.

I haven't come across a separation method I haven't already used nor a description of the nonphysical or SP that I can't relate to or empathise with.

I tell a lie... I haven't tried the candle flame staring method that Lionheart discovered AP with. But I know if I tried it.. it would work a treat.

Anyway... I didn't used to phase because I believed that the SP or LD was the only way to get nonphysical. When I tried it I found out I could also phase. Now they have combined into my own thing. That I'm sure anyone can do given the right circumstances.

*EDIT*

DUDE....What are you doing? Oh well, cat's out of the bag now.

It's one of those things that it's so cool to be different and everyone tries so hard to be that they're the same.
Besides, all the methods to project are the same at their core anyhow...turn your focus away from the PMR to the NPR. That's it in a nutshell.

Well Bedeekin, that pretty much summed it up nicely!  I really can't argue with that.  :)

I dont have time to invest in the phasing process, and I suspect that I will not succeed anyway, because I have tried APing through deep meditation for a long time, but all I got was numbness, vision flashes and little things like that but not a full shift of conciseness. I apply the visualization/motion technique for 15 minutes every night while I am falling asleep and then sometime during the night I get awaken by strong vibrations. Often I become aware in my dreams and convert them to OBEs.

All are mine are spontaneous... Out of my experiences, I guess I phase kind of often. It's kind of exciting because I never know where I will end up! :D

Yup... pretty much said it...

I don't think phasing is so much of a "next step" thing as it is, just a slightly different angle of experiencing the non physical. Most of my experiences when I was first starting out were through phasing. I had to work at the RTZ way.

Yeah, at the core we're certainly more alike than most of us would like to view us, but some ways of thinking or mindsets might work better for others. And what's typical or easy for one person can be full circle for another.

We all climb the same mountain (each time) from different angles and starting points, maybe with different vehicles (or by foot?) each one (or each time for some).

Thank you all for your replies.  At the moment I am not trying to ap.  I have a cold and I have been coughing a lot.  I am really looking forward getting better so I can ap again.  You are the only ones that know about it.  I am not able to talk about it to my family as they are non believers.

I know you don't need it Bedeekin, but it does work pretty good.

Just for fun you should try it, then you could finally state that you have now tried everything, lol.  :-D

...except the Laxman and If I could, I would have had you try it long ago.

The Laxman is pocket orientated. I'll probably splash out on one when I get some spare change. ;)

The one thing I really like about the Laxman, is that through daily or regular use, you get to know how you actually feel while totally aware in the Alpha, Beta, Delta or Theta States.

This actually helps you tune into these states so much quicker, even without the "tool".

Well that's actually the point of the many different systems out there such as the Laxman and the Monroe Gateway Series.
They're training wheels really... eventually you'll want to take them off and go willy nilly.  :)

Haha. Lionheart knows you very well. Don't lie Bedeekin, you are moderator now.

...but, but, there's still so much to learn with them.

I enjoy doing my own research on the different brainwave frequencies and the levels of focus I can attain with each.

I also notice that it enhances the level of awareness that I have while Phasing in general.

So, this has gone much further then just a simple "training wheel" scenario.

You are right about training wheels.  I no longer listen to the sounds of the rain etc.  I do not use anything anymore.

I have never used anything to help me but I see no reason not to and I can think of many reasons for it.

Some people, especially those in pain, need some assistance to help them block their pain, or at least, give them something to take their mind off of it in order to change shift their focus.

I know meditation itself can accomplish that to a certain degree but some pain can be almost intolerable otherwise. :-)

There is nothing wrong in using things to help you to ap.  If it helped me, I would use it.

I've seen two sides of pain.
One was severe toothache. Yep I used 300 mil of ibuprofen.
It worked.
The second was excruciating stomach pain. This took my life away and I ended up in hospital.
I didn't use anything then.
I had no choice when everything went black and I fell powerless onto the couch, it resembled a calm deep phase. I was fully aware and knew I had to get back, strangely.

If anything helps, use it.
Don't depend on it.
