it seems like after about 10 minutes of trancing or trying to OBE, I get really itchy, and it makes it impossible to concentrate because I want to scratch it so bad.

MisterJingo

Sometimes :)
One possibility is that the itches are not really bad (and would barely grab our attention if we were active) but due to reduced sensory perception (because of a trance state) they're amplified and so seem unbearable.

Nay

I used to get it awful bad, and occasionally still do.  The cure for me was to ignore....yep, there's that ignore word again.

i always get them in really bad places like my face or my nuts, UGH! :)

the key to this matter is to not think about it. Usually when I am trying to project ( especially in trance ) I am so focused and concentrated on w/e I am thinking about, that I don't notice itching at all. You have to immerse yourself in your mind. You'll know the feeling ;)

dmoney: I used to have the same problem and as Nay said, the cure was to ignore them.

it's really hard to concentrate with the itchy face, unbearable ringing ears, energy flowing, etc. i feel like i'm 5 seconds away from OBEing, then I move because I can't take it anymore

i used to get itchy a lot. but since ive been practicing a lot more, i dont get itchya s much. If i do get itchy, it will be during liek the first 1-3 minutes of trying and i either just think the itch away, or i move. if i just change my positition for a second and then go back the itch is gone.

Then wait another 30 seconds before scratching.  And if you do move, take care to do it slowly..this might help you get right back to the stage you were at when the itching started.  And that stage is right at the cusp of being astral....so stick with it!   I know this is hard, but think of any thing else BUT the cobweb feelings.  Think about your room or something and in your minds eye see yourself walking around and touching things...really "feel" yourself doing it.

This can be really annoying at times, I agree! Though, I read somewhere that this is your body 'testing' your concious awareness of your body, to see if it is asleep yet. Once you let go of all bodily awareness, its go time :>

Like the others said, ignore, ignore, ignore... I know its painful, but try and focus on something really deeply. And remember, its just a test, pass it! :)

Sounds interesting about that test..coz its sometimes you get an itch and igonore it, bot sometimes it kinda feels like you just cant let it unscratched..maybe it actually is a "test" ..ill try to resist/ignore next time ;)
Nice to see you :)

i was able to ignore it!! i just thought of myself lifting weights and getting buff (been trying to gain weight for a while) and it just gets numb. i've been trying to make my conscious think I'm getting bigger, like a biokinesis type thing in hopes that I would. both times i got really close, but the vibrations got really weird ( one my body felt like it was floating and the other my arms just felt like they were being crushed together) so I moved.

Nay

Congrats Dmoney!

keep up the good work and just keep on getting better at ignoring those sensations and pretty soon you will find yourself out!

A little offtopic, but i just noticed how i can easy "feel away" without losing consciousness, i go to gym and so im lying on my back, and thing exercise ill do tomorrow so i imaginy lifting a weight, and start to feel that feeling, in muscles how i pick it up..its much easier to imagine that "feel" than any other(like feeling rope), i even imagined something like fluid going trought my arms..and was "away" in amoment..
Nice to see you :)

I have the same problem...No matter how long i try to resist it,it just wont go.And knowing that i will be able to have an AP after beating that feeling just makes me feel ambitious
